Is the heat exchange effective? Searched forums but havent seen anything on them.

Unless your water is really warm and is having trouble dissolving nutrients i really wouldn't worry about it.

Depends on how much effort or power it takes to chill the liquid that runs through it.
The only thing that would worry me is if the water is extremely chilled there could be condensation issues.

It's actually a cool idea considering unless you run insulated ducting or ducting that's only a few feet long, a large amount of the heat being pumped through aluminium ducting is going back into your room anyway, long before it exits the exhaust. So a heat exchange could be pretty badass. If it doesn't cost an arm and a leg in power ect.

I made one for 30$. Old squirrel cage fan, plastic tote, filter, pump, tubing to filter. Yt has some great diy ideas
