Where do you live Kinggrow? I'm guessing the coast, because I'm sure it would be way too dry after 2 weeks here. RH in my living room right now is 17%.

I live in a world where if i leave some bud on my living room table and go on holiday for a month it hasnt crumbled to dust and overdried when i come back and need a smoke. More than often it taste like it got cured a little. Weird that bud in yourcworld overdries to shit in a week or two, must have to keep it protected from your atmosphere at all times....

Im joking but this is how America comes across, five days and your havest is toast, this never happens on low humidity hotvsummer weeks here :-)

We don't get low humidity in the summer where I am, we get high humidity so I increase air flow. In the winter our humidity drops drastically and I reduce the air flow during drying. The humidity of your drying area will drastically effect how fast it dries. I've watched growers from CO complain about it for years since their humidity is almost always really low.

Kin your from the UK right? I honestly didn't think you guys ever had low humidity. Its awesome you don't have to worry about humidity, but lots of guys do. You don't seem to understand that not everyone grows in the same conditions you do, and that the conditions require different treatment. Really low humidity will definitely make buds dry faster, and high humidty will make them dry slower. Doing it right means finding the best way to reach that perfect medium in between.

I've never added a humidifier to a drying room. I always try to control the dry by increasing or decreasing air flow. If the outside starts to dry a little to fast, I use the old paper bag trick to let the bud humidity balance out.

I have never been cool enough to use Bovida packs or any of that stuff either. It took some practice, but I learned how to dry bud nicely and now I dry it and jar it and its done. Some will cure in the jars, some will get smoked, it all tastes good, and smokes smooth though :).

Another thing that might be throwing people off is honestly, your plants have a LOT of trichs i think... Good strong stuff. I do also think you could go another week at least...

That Afgani, kandy kush and basically all the others are no where near done.

My humble non-experienced ass opinion. Not even half the trichs are even cloudy let alone amber. If you like a real heady energetic high it will be better sooner though.

Changed my mind after looking at the pic more, and will wait till a few more of the clears are gone. Hopefully they can wait until next weekend.

Should be just about ready by now.. =) The clearer the trichs, the less of a "couch lock" buzz I get, I have noticed.

But the staying power is severely lacking and the flavor isn't fully just "There" yet....

It's amazing what the last few weeks have in store. Sooo many people miss out on that and then wonder why the harvest doesn't taste as good or weigh as much as they wanted.

Ya, I didn't realize that they keep fattening that much. The first time I grew 20 years ago I harvested way too early and missed out on the best part. They get much prettier too. This is a fun learning experience.

Here's what I got so far. I overdried the Green Crack and first Ghost, but learned from it, and the Pura Vida and the last Ghost are in the cure zone.

Ya, I wasn't in a rush to get smoke. I've had a med card for like 10 years, and have a stash of all kinds of good stuff. But I wanted to make sure all my harvest wasn't too heavy, cause my wife likes the more energetic high. I do too sometimes, so just being safe, and this way I can learn how much those Trichome color changes alter the effect. And she's just making reg brownies. I had her try the Pura Vida when she got home and first she said it was too much and she was about to freak out. 10 min later she saw the NFL players cupcake company commercial and frantically started looking for cupcakes or something close to make. Anyway I told her I had brownie mix and here we are. She's a light wait though. I tried it too, and thought it was a really energetic buzz, but I prefer a heavier high most of the time, so really glad I'm waiting for these last ones to mature some more.
