They've been flowering almost 9 weeks (since pistils have shown).. its supposedly a 8-9 week strain but when i picture them trimmed it doesnt seem it will look like bud normally does.... are these ready? i have been flushing for a week hoping to harvest soon but will wait if needed.

Look pretty done to me, couple of those pics looks like they could use another 5-7 days, but thats hard to be accurate on without seeing the trichomes.. It's all about the trichomes, man, check em out, you can havest when they are mostly cloudy, thats when they have peak THC. You can also wait for some of that THC to start degrading and turn into CBD(amber trichs) which is gonna be a little stronger in terms of a body high. Personally I wouldn't wait past about 30% amber trichomes, much past that and you're losing potency.

I see the new growth too. If you are in no rush, let them finish. As long as new pistils are still forming, your buds are not full of resin yet. You stated a lot of the trichomes were still clear. That is your answer... I'd wait.... You should be flushing though, nothing but plain water....
