Do the Meanwell 250w & 300w drivers run hot?

If I put 10 x 250W meanwell drivers running at that full capacity(2500W), would they output noticeable heat in my grow room?

Ive read about the option of running the drivers out of the grow room, but I often do not see it being done as most people just mount the drivers on the cob fixture.

Or would they just be warm to touch?

Most of the Meanwell drivers are over 92% efficient- that means at 250 watts/driver it could produce 20 watts of heat as waste so multiply by 10 and you have a 200 watt heater running.

I imagine at 2500w of electricity, yes. You probably would see a significant amount of heat. Via both radiation and the heat of the actual components.

Looking at it this way dont seem so bad in a large room,200w is nothing in a 2500w operation.how you run the drive has alot to do with how warm they get ime.mine run in series with a lil wiggle room and they are warm to the touch but def not hot.i could put my neck or forehead on it without fear of burning at all.but i did wire 95% of my setups remote so i can keep them out of the room once i move to my new building.starting to think i will need that heat so i may end up leaving them in the main room lol
