Do my plants have to many leaves around buds?

this is my first grow. these two plants were clones from an unknown source through a friend so i am 100% unsure of the strain and the guy my friend got them off has no clue either (still very illegal here and not many people are clued on to strains. weed is weed sorta attitude). been using canna coco A&B at the doses they recommend on the bottle along with PK13/14, boost and abit of Grotek - silic and was watering at 5.8 during veg and now 6.0 during flower. for lights i have a 450w LED samsung lm301b light bars. i purchased a bluelab truncheon a couple days ago and have almost halved the dose i was giving them. i know they probably have a fair bit to go but was just wondering why there are so many leaves because it just looks so abnormal to me compared to what i have seen on line or in other peoples gardens. how do you think they look?

They don’t look half bad at all, especially for a first grow. They appear to be majority sativa. I hope you’re ready to ride out the more than likely long flowering time.
As far as the amount of leaf, it looks okay to me. How big is your tent?

they do look leafy, but thats just a genetic trait, not much you can do about that, except pick a different strain or pheno next time. they look good and healthy though. when they have that high a leaf to calyx ratio, you want to keep a good eye on them when they get close to harvest. those leaves tend to die a lot, and they may rot if the buds get good and thick around them, which can lead to botrytis, or bud rot, so try to pick them out if you see them starting to wither, so they never get the chance

Hey bro, thank you. I am using a 1.2mx 1.2m tent or 4x4

Some update photos for anyone interested. I some how burnt the tips even though i have gone lowered the nutes and kept the PH at 6.0. I have switched the lights to 10-14 because i am at week 9 of flower and have a beautiful bush of critical kush waiting to go into flower.

Do you have an estimate as to when you'll chop? I only ask because your first grow is going well and you don't want to chop too early and not get the most out of your hard work.

I have absolutely no idea! Literally just gonna keep an eye on the trichs to know when to flush... might be awhile away cause they haven even swollen up yet or stopped growing flower... i hope the light schedule change quickens up the process because i just want that critical kush in there ASAP! Thanks for all the replies and i am not sure i have mentioned this but these two are drinking 5L of water a day! This seems like so much to me!

Check out Nebulas defoliation technique for flowering. Essentially he lollipops before the flip, then removes nearly all the leaves besides the top 2 sets of leaves on each branch after week 3 of flower . What this does is make the plant focus its growth on buds and it will essentially slow down producing leaves .
