So I have had a charcoal filter for about a year now. It was given to me by a friend so I dont have any information on it (The make/model). Will it continue to kill the smell or do I need to replace it? And if so, where do I take it to get that done? And is it just regual charcoal in there? Thanks!

Not regular charcoal... Its activated charcoal... I think you can get it at pet stores... Not sure i use activated charcoal filters... Like the pads you put in a hepa filter... Though i think ones with the lil charcoal work better...

it's better to just replace it. my buddy tried to repack his. big mess. he tossed it and bought a new one. he changes his once a year.
