....mines not a box....just two walls..front n back open but its against a wall...boards over the top to hang lights from....then white plastic/vinyl making a "roof"....View attachment 2402251
a box isnt always necessary although light does reflect better when its in a box that has a coat of white paint on the inside.. just make sure to provide your crop with as much light as possible. lets say 2 bulbs
How good are you at DIY ? I've seen some great set ups in garages with wooden beams, white plastic visron and Velcro openings. It can be done quite easily but needs to be light proof. I've even taken the windows out of my room!! If you're going to do this then check out the 'grow room and set up' section of the forum.
open space is always gonna be a better condition to grow in than any box of tent, but as many have mention already boxes/tents uses the light much better depending on the reflective material used,as long as your plants get a good amount of light then they should do good.I was growing 8 in a corner 2 got chopped and the other 6 are a few weeks from finishing up.Forgot to add for the night period you don't need a lot maybe a box or 2,i use boxes and i find them to be highly effective with budding vs just covering up my plants and hoping no light gets in.
