Do HD Inline Fan Booster Work?

Do the 4 or 6 Inch inline booster fans really work?

the area i need to exhaust is 4x4x5.

Using this tool i found at http://cheaphydroponics.com/Merchant2/cfmcalc.htm

It says i only need 60 CFM to exchange my room in 1 min.

I wanted to use this with some cheap flexible dryer hose and a carbon scrubber later on.

I don't think you could use it very efficiently with a carbon filter, unless there's one rated for 60CFM. You can see for yourself how well those booster fans work on youtube.

And it also depends on your lighting and temps

400 hps has 3 vents for exhaust .. temps are in the low 90's during the hottest part of the day... Other then that everything is good.

cant use em with a scrubber.
