DNA RockLock Review

Ok, this is a review of DNA Genetics RockLock. During my entire grow I have scored the I-net for info on rocklock with only info saying "go rocklock and go couchlock," so here is some info for the archives.

Grow Info Veg:
400 watt MH, with a 18/6 schedule. For approximately 40 days from seed. No nutrients added. I topped during this stage for the 4 cola effect.

Flower:
400 hps, for 56 days. feeding with 1tbs ff big bloom and 1tsp Humboldt honey per gallon every 5 days.

Room temps were around 80 the entire grow.
PS. I grew in subcools super soil for the entire grow, including planting the seeds with a great result. I followed the recipe exactly, and i will continue to use it as long as i grow indoors with soil. I did notice the yield was not as big as i expected but hey its organic bud.

Overall growing rocklock is very beginner friendly, had some hermie problems with other plants but no bananas on the rocklock. All due to a couple of power outages
The smell when i chopped is a fuel smell that is very pleasant and a sure winner for anyone wanting that type of smell. I am still in the drying/curing process and I will update eventually with a smoke report.

If it smokes like it smells then I would be purchasing this strain and not just taking it as a freebie. Any ?s ask.

**UPDATE**

Official weight is 30 grams, with about 7 more grams left on the plant to ripen. Smoke report will come in a couple of weeks.

Medium to heavy, I think that it has the potential in optimum conditions with a scrog/lst grow to yeild a good amount of quality bud.

so what's the report? i have a rocklock freebee the has popped and looks really vigorous. this is the third RL ufo i have gotten and it's the only one that has popped.

I vegged my Rocklock for 10 weeks and went into 12/12 on 9/25, hoping for good things from her but not many threads on the strain.

Was that official weight wet or dry??

Yes official weight is the dry weight.

1-5 scale(1=low 5=high)
Bag appeal: 3.5, sugary darkish green nugs with numerous orange hairs
smell: 5, this is a winner smell in my book (anything with the pungent fuel and skunk smell is always well appreciated)
high: 4, very strong indica high
tolerance build up: 1, none that I have noticed
overall rating: 4, the only reason it is not a 5 is because of its effect on motor skills on the comedown.

Please read below for more in dept description.

When put in the grinder, the herb has a fuelish smell with a hint of skunk. The smoke has a pleasant flavor that does not seem too potent and then 5 minutes into it, the high has creeped up my face and I am extremely couchlocked. There is a very intense glue to the couch type high for a good hour every time from only one big bong rip. After the intense hour has passed the high lingers for another 2 hours that makes me absolutely retarded. What I mean by this, is that I feel really clumsy, ie motor skills are bad, and thought procession is a little on the slow side. In my opinion I think that DNA Genetics hit their mark with the description "go rocklock and go couchlock" very accurately. If you like an indica stone that makes you retarded then this bud is definitely for you. This strain can also be very medicinal as a late afternoon or night toke and relaxation. Enjoy!

Do you have pics? Mine is only 23 days into flower under 600w hps. I topped her right when the nodes started to alternate

great smoke report bro! i havnt been able to find much on the strain, its nice to finally find and read someones personal opinion on it, not dna genetics advertisement. although it doesnt sound like they were too off huh.... i currently have nine 'rocklocks' going and now i cant wait till there done! i'm ready to get couchlocked
