Hi all,

BOOM. A magnificent cross between lemon skunk and that extra special og 18.

So here goes my opinions and experience on this strain in DWC:

This is vegged for 4 weeks, counting germination time, and flowered for 9 weeks and 2-3 days of darkness. Probably would go the full 10 weeks, for the connoisseur, without end of life light stress. This plant seriosuly grows fast and too much. And don't start telling me: ah you're a nob whos doesnt know shit and you have your hoods higher than you should. I dont go for that, i always had the hood about 10 inches away from the tops with hid and maybe 6 wit hthe cfl. Trouble free veging apart from the fact that it was sooooooooooo fucking bushy from an early age that keeping the inner growth clean and tidy was an impossible task especially with the scrog, we just coudmnt get our hands in there to cut the bullshit away. Moreover once the lights got flipped they just began to grow and then grow some more and then even more, to the point the scrog we had planned turned into an amazonian jungle with the hoods at the very top of the tent and some buds threatening to touvch the light eventually. FUCKING CRAZY. I sweat to god when we put them in it was perfect for them to double size all fit right and perfect with no over lapping, did it fuck. By week 4 or 5 we kind of just gave up with trainning and tying, it was just too much...
It's summer and we couldnt get light on temperatures below 26-27 and max of 32-33 and never lower than 24-25 lights off, yes high but let me say i really!!! think that this strain likes those high temperatures. Never were the leaves shot up saying i'm hot, never! They just looked propper happy with the temperature and i was always worrying it being too high, getting scared of mites too cause we're in the country and have a vegetable garden. We had severe humidity problems as in 80% at night sometimes and 60 to sometimes!!! 70 by the last weeks of flowering when so much foliage is around. Yes we did get very tiny bits of mould here and there (literally a bud here and there) but nothing to what it should have been or what i expected! especially considering that lemon skunk is prone to get mould. Air flow is extra important with this strain, in my amateur opinion, due to the amount of branching that goes on.
This is by no means a nutrient sensitive strain, this said you give it the right amount of food and she will astonish you.
In terms of yield all i can say is it took 2 people 10 hours to clip 3 plants, and we weren't pissing about if there isnt a pound and a half from those 3 babies i will give my left nut to oxfam or sumat. A bit more popcorn than we expected, but hey we couldnt get our hands in there by the times shit went crazy, but i'm begging to convert to bho so good use for the popcorn.
This strain does not really form something like a bud until week 4, but until then you can really! see the budding sites forming. It starts packing on its weight on the end of week , 6 until the very end, especially end of week 7 to week 8. We had most branches just falling over like flies, the branches couldnt handle the weight! suuuuuuuuch fucking heavy dense buds its unreal. I mean even side branches had the odd tennisball sized buds. Some seriously foxtailing strain. This strain PACKS ON FLOWERS big time! From week 7 onwards the resin strats to look like sugar syrup smoothering everything, extra important to give it carbohydrates.
For the first time we did a dwc without changing the water every week, we did it every 2 weeks since tap water comes out at 0.6 ec! fucking shocking especially when before i used to get it at 0 or rarely 0.1! I did feel like it was slightly harder to know whats happening sometimes with the plant than when changing evey week. However one gets used to it and i really doubt it will make a huge difference in taste... They were fed mainly through the leafes until week 3 and the tank water ec never higher than 0.4 while foliar feeding. The only probl;em im finding with foliar feeding a lot is that the older leaves start getting sort of dirty spots and with time you need to pull them, but i find that giving chemically fed plants organic nutrients until you cannot anymore REALLY plays a part on the plants happiness and energy, in my amateur opinion. I make a cocktail of Humbolt's Ginormous, Humic and Fulvic, Honey and bio bizz bio heaven, fish and bloom in adequate amounts and give them every 2 days a serious spray in the dark.
I use Advanced Bud candy, senizym, Big bud, Head Masta(this is the shit! if you want to put a lot of budding sites on), supervit, Engys fulvic and Humic(oxigenate your tank properly and you hafto hafto hafto put peroxide when using these), overdrive(do not! use canna's PK 13/14 it takes away the taste of your buds) and bloom A and B (not only 5 mil of each raise your ppm by 100 at least but also we hardly had to adjust the ph of the tank after putting however much to raise it to desired ppm, i'm a fan). Also have Cal Mag standing around just in case but it wasn't needed.
This strain smells like a sweet lemon sour diesel. I've come across other lemon strains that either dont smell like lemon at all just earthy with that citrusy backlground if you could call it that and others like super lemon haze that give me an articial feeling to the scent. When i say this strain smells like real lemon i really mean it. The og 18 gives it that electrifying background and slight earthy muskyness you expect in a kush. great scent!
That's all for now I will report in 2-3 months when i am happy with the cure for a smoke report, enjoy the nugs that follow:

I ran 3 of these and got 2 females. There was no lemon smell or taste at all! 1 was very northern lights tasting and the other smelt like pineapple when growing but tasted like burnt orange. Great smoke. I still have 3 seeds so fingers crossed i'll find a lemon pheno.

Great looking bud's brother. How did it smoke?

I did this strain 2 years ago. this is a great lemony strain and the ladies swore it was an aphrodisiac. Never seen these beans come in regular only female. I only go from seed, still haven't gotten a hang of cloning. actually doing four next generation N.Y.Purple Diesel that's about 3 weeks from harvest and have a L.O.G. Kush that's been vegging for 4 wks now.

Nice job Klite, I see what you mean about the foxtails, but they look nice and solid. I'll be looking forward to the smoke report.
