Dj short blueberry or true blueberry : which is better and why?

Just curious what everyone that has either grown out and/or smoked this think about them...

Ive smoked what I think was dj shorts blueberry... Very euphoric and smelt like blueberry muffins, was absolutely amazing...

in my view blueberry is a stretch indica sort of a newer form of blueberry .......... were true blueberry is more like the classic, more like the old school stout thick blueberry held by dutch passion and stagamartha ............................. both are heavely pheno happy and its pretty hard to find a good one but once you do its one the best weed plants on earth

^^ Story goes that DJ n DP were partners originally, and when they split, DP took the blueberry that DJ Short was perfecting...aka, DP and Dj short have the same blueberry cut......just my 2cents

Orig BB is a shorter indica plant
True BB is a more sativa expression of BB

Same genetics just bred differently

If you want the potent BB everyone knows and loves then go with Orig BB...the TBB is a lil less potent but will give you a bigger berry taste.

Choosing between the Original and True Blueberry can be difficult but according to the master himself; both are equally potent and prone to color changes. The True Blueberry is called the ultimate hybrid of Blueberry expression, selected for its superior quality from a larger gene pool. Where the original Blueberry is mostly indica, this new hybrid contains the best from both worlds, and is both indica and sativa in expression. Although related, the True Blueberry was selected from different stock than the current Original Blueberry, and is slightly more productive. The Original Blueberry can be called a “Stretch-Indica”, in that she tends to stretch her nodes but her buds are very compact with larger calyx structure. The True Blueberry is more of a sativa bloomer on a indica looking plant. The bouquet of the original Blueberry is a more candy sweet and fruity smell while the True Blueberry has a higher nasal palate with anise undertones. Both plants are however exceptional in both scent and taste, thanks to the exotic stock used to create both strains. The high of the “True Blue” is also slightly more racy and cerebral than the narcotic, though not “couch-lock”, body stone of the original version.

well the story as i know it is dj went to the dam and actually sold his blueberry strain to dp first think something like 50-100 seeds were sold and ducth passion done the selections there was no cuts !! and then after dp he sold his blueberry strain to stamargtha seeds but with stag he had a hand in the selection process , ............................ now his own offering ''dj shorts blueberry' is from a newer seed line maybe he tweeked something or nother i dont know but its not the same as the classic thick stout blueberry indica you get from dp its more of a stretchy indica with golf ball buds here is djs write up for his blueberry

We developed Blueberry from different new genetic lines, genetics that are unique to Europe. Not only Blueberry, but also Blue Velvet and Flo are developed from totally new genetics. These seed strains are of the highest quality and have not been grown in Europe before. Blueberry is a mostly Indica (80% Indica, 20% Sativa) strain, that dates to the late 1970's. A large producer under optimum conditions. A dense and stout plant with red, purple and finally blue hues, that usually cure to a lavender blue. The finished product has a very fruity aroma and taste of blueberry. It produces a notable and pleasantly euphoric high of the highest quality and is very long lasting. Medium to large calyxes. Blueberry has a long shelf life, stores well over a long period.

DJ on TB vs. BB :

"True Blueberry (TB) v. Blueberry (BB) differences--here's my view: The TB is more akin (literally closer related to) my past European offerings but from a much larger selection pool that I had more input toward. It (TB) tends to be larger (taller) and a bit more productive than the BB. The BB line that I have offered for the past 7-8 years is from different f3 stock than the TB (yet still related as all of my stock is from similar ancestry). I call her (the BB) a "stretch-indica" in that she does like to stretch her nodes, but her buds are very compact with larger calyx structure ("golf-ball buds"); whereas the TB buds are generally composed of smaller calyx (more slender, "pointy") yet still with a very dense bud structure ("spade-shaped" with some foxtail stretch) on an indica-looking plant. The BB palate is a more "syrupy sweet", fruity smell (more like candy-sweet) while the TB has a higher-nasal palate with astringent/anise undertones (more of a sinus tickle w/ the bud and smoke flavor). I find the TB to be more "heady", almost racy at first, whereas the BB tends to be more body/narcotic in its initial rush and stone duration. Mind you, there is a "range" to both and the above descriptions are in terms of probability and not exclusive to either strain. That is, there is a higher probability of finding a plant w/ small calyx, tight buds with astringent/anise/berry flavor and a more "up-head" in the TB line, and a higher probability of finding a plant with the "stretch-indica" pheno with dense, golf-ball buds and a more candy/berry flavor/palate and a more narcotic (though not really couch-lock) body in the BB line. Both are equally prone to color changes, especially in colder temps, and I find both to be equally potent. Please note; the BB (and the flo and Blue Moonshine) stock is currently limited and not being reproduced for at least a year or two. So, if you want any of these, heads up! Get them soon as they will will be gone and out of stock for awhile when they are. "

Blue BERRY POPED MY CHERRY. hahahaha mine was taler n yes foxtails i herd dj blueberry's strain left alot of leaf on it it was sead to me that it had a better impact i realy dont know cali trends change so fast. so i go with the trends. i lost it.
