DIY with Quantum Boards

Just ordered 20 quantum boards, 12 90 cri ones for my flower room
Ill be wiring up 6 boards per fixture in my flower room to cover a 4'x5' foot print
2 boards per hlg 240 2100

Debating on getting some reflectors for my flower room any opinions on them?

Ill be wiring the 8 80 cri 304 qbs in a mother room, 4 boards per hlg 320 2100


I still have to order the drivers any and all help is welcome

Also heres a updated pic of my girls under the nextlight, cant wait to beat the nextlight, day 48, first run in coco and first run with this strain. It over grew my room im thinking about adding some flower initiators to try to slow down the strech.

How height are the Quantum installed from the floor?

I may have to set up a small flower rm & try mixed spectrum cuse lots of people seem to be going that way as well. Thanks!

Just did a light defoliation, i'm quite impressed with the penetration, 100_2700.JPG 100_2701.JPGthis is the bottom branch on this plant 100_2702.JPGyou can see its developed just as well as the tops have 100_2703.JPGinterior shot, bottom half of the plant 100_2704.JPGthis is the way to go, as soon as i can get three more of these made, they're replacing the 600 watt hps i flower under now.

I did not see an option for 90 cri. Did they sell out of those or did they accommodate a request for you? Anyhow, thanks for sharing.

I currently have six Quantum board 304 s6 on the way and just ordered 2x HLG-320H-C2800A. Just curious if anybody knows what percentage I would be running the boards at with two of those and if I did a third what it would be? Also if somebody can explain to me the classification of A on the driver? I saw a video with grow Mouse explaining this but can't remember or find it

A drivers have dimmer screw / pot on driver you turn with screwdrive to dim, also A drivers put out more watts then the B drivers also B drivers you have to install a pot to dim lights

Robin, how do you ground the heatsink when using these cable joiners? Or is it not necessary to ground the heatsink to the ground cable (I´ve used wagos on my cob builds) and I should just put toghether the cable and driver?

you can only fit 2x qb304 in series per driver max, the boards connector is rated up to 300v and they are ~115 each. The HLG-320H-2800A has voltage output only up to 114v and 2.8a so you'd have to run 2 boards parallel I believe, maybe 3 boards @ 66.67% but i'm not sure I don't know anything about wiring in parallel... HLG-320H-C1400A is output up to 229v @ 1.4a so you can do 2 boards in series with that.

It looks like the panel fans help keep things cool by " venting " on sides over boards - there is air movement over boards on each side.
