This is not very relevant here, seems mostly geared towards AC dimming. The driver does more than just output DC current, it also controls voltages. If you try to change the DC current after the driver you will mess with the driver and your likely to not get any light at all.
For a standard AC circuit the article is quite informative but definitely not here.
Dimming is done by the driver, on literally any modern growlight, not by manipulating AC, or DC current after the driver.
There are some special led bulbs that you can dim with standard AC dimming but it generally results in very low dimming range

In case this is not a joke. You can use a potentiometer to vary the voltage to the dimming lines on a dimmable driver.

if you try to vary the voltage to the LED strings and undervolt them they don't dim they just won't light,what you want is to lower the amperage but maintain the voltage.
And that's why ohms law does not apply here because we don't want the supply voltage to drop below the forward voltage of the LED strip.

I do appreciate you taking the time to give an explanation. I was looking at this more as standard ac lighting so apparently I was just wrong and dont know enough about the drivers. I can live with that, I will dig further into their function so I can get a better understanding. Thanks.

No worries, I'm happy everytime these issues don't become a grudge match. I'm sorry I couldn't find a link to the dimming thread but it should be out there somewhere.

No worries bud, I will track it down. I am happy to learn something and have no interest in arguing just so I dont have to admit to being wrong. Better to admit my error when pointed out and use it to learn something. Thanks.

Hi @Stephenj37826 hope you are well. Just shot an email to support, but trying to install the UVA on my 650rs. I have the mounting brackets on, and about to install the bar, but I am not that bright when it comes to the wiring.

Couldnt find a video or spec sheet online, but want to connect power to the 650 that's running into the timer. Anything documented? Thanks for the great support and killer products!

I have that UVA bar from HLG. No wiring to do, the power plug from uv bar connects to cord for main light.

Plug the 650R into the daisy chain on the UVA bar and then plug the bar into the timer.

So what was the consensus thots on the HLG 30 watt UVA? I was looking to grab two of those for my 4x8 tent. They are on sale for $150 each and I have a $100 gift card. Its $105 each including shipping. Is it worth it at that price?

Have you seen the grow lights Australia post on UVA use? They posted some nice data with potency testing etc etc.

The post is definitely convincing towards UVA use.
