Most people here are on the Cree and vero vibe around here. Not many like the blurple and know that it's not as good as white light. It does grow but it's not very efficient. That's the main reason.

I suggest checking out the Cree CXB 3590 and the Veros. Not to mention citi led... Look around the LED area and you will learn pretty quick. Check out Growmau5 on YouTube, that's where I started.

Please excuse my ignorance, but is it possible to convert a fixture from blurple to Cree or Vero? I have about 8 of these that I received as part of a trade and wondered if they are good for anything?

well if u are in good condition with the re-soldering those cables and know the relation with the drivers current and voltage of your led's then you can make magic

What's your budget? No matter how low there's a better option with cons... That might mean driving them harder but even so you're going to be more efficient than a Gaveda which is something in the high 30%s.

not 4x4 just one plant or two max
yes both
well right now Im thinking to do
4 x LC040B ( they will be parallels on a heatsink 60cm-16cm-2.5cm x 2 pieces )
on the corners cobs will be and among those cobs I will add reds and blues 15-30 pieces max or equal to drivers capability to fill up its potency after 4 cob power draw I will add reds anb blues to fill the power of driver.

what do you think guys ?

How much is that light?
Yes. Killer par/w but add in $ and :(
Well that's at center, I would like to see what it's PPFD is throughout. Of course it puts out good results, but only in the range provided. Watt to watt I would like to see an LED on LED comparison to see if the full range beats out the monos on a watt to watt comparison.
