DIY Kingbrite Quantum Build Advice for 4x4 Flower Tent

I'm trying to strike a balance between going obscenely overkill in my flowering tent and playing to the Chinese edge of ordering more boards for my "HLG savings" and driving them softer to increase my overall diode count relative to my shipping costs.

That puts me around 9 boards in a 4x4 tent. I don't really trust this "500 watts in a 4x4 is fine" concept especially since I'm buying knockoff boards, I'd rather go overboard for another $100.

$275 for 9x Kingbrite quantum lm301b boards
$144 for 9x single heatsinks
~$220 HLG-240H-C1400B x 3 = $192 + shipping
$60 for framing material, etc
$700 total

I like this price range and wouldn't go any higher.

Would you guys go with the HLG-240H-C1400B x 3 for 9 of these boards?

I want to run them soft and I don't want to venture into HLG-600 territory as I'm a novice with electricity and I don't want to fuck around with high voltage.

I also don't fully trust running Kingbrite panels in parallel due to various posts I've seen around, so I'd like to run these in series 2-3 to a driver.

Thanks and I appreciate any help on this.

As long as the forward voltage of the 3 boards is in the CC range of the driver, it should work.
