DIY In Wall Air Filtration (feedback welcome)

After fighting with PM for a couple crops, I wanted to make some changes to my room to improve air quality. I had already foam sealed drywall corners and cracks in the room. I had a filtered air intake but it was a lower quality filter . The door to the room was an internal house door which was not fully sealed, and so unfiltered air was getting in through the cracks due to negative pressure in the room.

So the first upgrade was to install an exterior door for the room which fixed the door leaks.

I then wanted to get better filtration. IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN if my solution works. I suspect I may need to get an intake fan, as the temps in the room are now higher than before my modifications... an indication that it's slower to exhaust (more negative pressure) than before modification. Unfortunately I don't see a "sexy" way to integrate an intake fan without eating into valuable floor space (the intake is on the ground, at edge of garden). So I am reluctant.

Anyways, here is what I came up with. I think the photos explain themselves but let me know if you have questions.

Air comes IN to the wallspace at about 5'height external to the grow room through a 14x10 grille I installed. Part of the offset (grill intake high, grill in room low) is to eliminate light getting in to the room. Air comes out of the wallspace, and into the grow room and ground level. Will it work? Am I missing something?
