So i was curious to see why i was hearing so much about people using wicks instead of the lighters because it is better for you and it makes your smoke taste better. Plus all the ingredients are organic so even better. The whole set cost me 7 bucks to make..
You will need
1- spool of hemp found at any craft or hobby store
1- bar of organic bee's wax (your choice on size)
An oil burner like for the incense
something to hold the thread for you while you Braid
Step 1
You will need 3 fairly long pieces of the hemp. I usually wrap it around my palm 10 to 12 times because you will be cutting some of them to even up the strands.
Step 2
Leave the hemp rolled up and light your wax melter with a tea light and let the wax melt. Once it has completely liquified you can dip your hemp into the wax and make sure to get a good coating on it. Remove and place to the side to dry.
Step 3
Once dry unroll the hemp coated with wax and fold each single rope over so you have equal lengths. Make a simple knot with the strand to the bar or whatever you are using to hold pressure on the strand.
Step 4
This may seem complicated but i promise once you do it you will get fast at it very quickly i just learned how to do this braid from my wife before i made this thread.
Separate 3 strands ( you should have six total so you can make 2 ) using the middle strand as your cross over point start with the left. This will make your left strand the new center strand. Now cross over the right strand and pull fairly tight. Now just keep crossing the center strand and pulling tight and go till you get to the end of the 3 strands.
Step 5
When you get to the end i just twist the last 1/2" or so i don't worry about braiding all the way to the end.
Step 6
Snip off any excess hemp and cut the knot at the top and twist the end just like on the bottom of the braid.
Step 7
Light and enjoy it will burn for awhile just make sure to put it out when you're done...
