DIY drying screen

Simple project: DIY drying screen

Found almost all of my material @ the Dollar store.
$5 bucks
Walmart $ 1.10

Tools
Scissors
Drill with bits

Material
3 - cheap wooden picture frames
1- Roll of string
1- White Glue
1- 1 yard Tulle ( it's a nylon material that looks like window screen) or you can ask a girl what Tulle is.) - found @Walmart

Simple instruction on how I made my 3 layer screen dryer.

-Take the picture frames an remove the glass/plastic and that fake photo.
- Apply glue around the 4 flat surfaces
- Let glue tack up (dry a little bit ,till sticky)
- Lay Nylon Tulle over the frame. (stretch out those winkles)
- After glue completely drys.
- Trim excess Tulle
- Drill a hole in each corner of the frame.
- String the 3 frames together through the 4 corner holes.
- Tie a knot in string @ each level for screens.

and there you go. Simple and CHEAP

Would have added 2 more levels. But, I bought all the largest frames the Dollar store had.
I did leave some extra length of string for future screens. :weed:

Here's mine, I tweaked Ringsixty plans a little by using snap together shelving. Each individual square measures 12"x12". Each level has 4 squares snaped together and measures 24"x24". It's currently 3 levels with enough cotton clothes line rope to add a fourth level. I picked up the tulle at Michaels Arts and Crafts $9.75 plus tax.It measures 1yd x 5yd. Everything else I had laying around. I not going to glue the tulle to the frame. I plan on changing it with a fresh sheet when it gets sticky with resin. Believe me it will get sticky!

I owe it all to your post. DIY is how I roll. Sunlight Supply gets $52.95 for their large drying screen. I saved $40.00 Sweet!

So do you just trim all your buds right off the plant then lay them on this screen and keep it in a dark place for how long?

I trim my girls after harvest. Then hang for a few days. Then remove the buds leaving a little stem for snap test.
Place on drying rack for final drying in the dark. ( Yes in the dark)
Always check the smaller buds that will dry out quicker.
When done drying, put into air tight container for curing.

That's what how I do it.

Some people don't hang. The just go straight to drying on the rack.
It's up to the grower which way they would like to do it.
