If you get the lens surface close to the COB surface the 60 degree lenses act as a 77 degree. You could use the 50mm 90 degree lenses for V18, just might not get as sharp of a cutoff.

I was wondering if anyone has any leads on some lenses between 90 and 120* that would fit over a cxb3590? A symmetric lenses would work as well.

I looked around on Alibaba for 44mm 90* lenses but only found 60-80* lenses. Is this mainly due to the shape and size of the glass half sphere or reflector? Also, the confinement of the LES within the lenses has me a little worried, as heat would surely build up and cause problems with high loads (~30W ^)?

And by not getting as sharp as a cutoff, the angular displacement of photons would be a little more than 90 degrees but not more than 120, did I read that correctly?

Has anyone encountered any issues, such as wire pinching, when using lenses or reflectors while implementing the Pico EZ Mate for the Vero lineup?

Do any of the reflectors fit onto the cob holder or do you need to purchase the adapter? If so, anybody know the part number for the adapter that fits this reflector? Is this even the right reflector?

I'm already using those cob holders. do the reflectors attach to them somehow? I thought they needed an additional adapter plate that screws to the heatsink..?
edit: after reading the brochure over it lists the same part number 50-2234c for the adapter but when I do a parts number search I come up empty.
Either a.) finding parts is frustrating or b.) I'm just not good at it

They don't make it as simple as they could.

On the link I provided the top row(blue) gives you the required adapter, since it looks like you want the Angelina reflector you are looking at the IDEAL 50-2100AN adapter.

My box dimensions are 900 tall x 450 x 450
Lights are 4 x CXB3070 @ 0.7A.

Should I use reflector?

e2a: i know thats alot of light in that area, ~ 21W par / sq ft. -
i probably dont need reflectors.

As I find those LEDIL reflectors very expensive, I got these candle bowls from ebay. They are lightweight yet very sturdy. For the use on Vero 29 I cut a 38mm hole in the bottom, sprayed them with RAL9010 and will screw them directly onto the chip. Not tested so far, but I believe they will produce a nice footprint. Took me a long time to find a cheapo alternative.

Mouser raised the prices on the Angelina reflectors. Never had an order arrive in less than 24hrs to from US to Canada, great service.

The ledil reflectors are pretty expensive for what they are but should last a long time and make for one efficient light.

I believe the extra cost of the reflectors should be as low as possible, for we should only want to redirect that relatively small amount of stray light within the 179°-~100° range that would most likely get lost otherwise.

If few cobs / driving hard is desirable, I would probably use reflectors with a large diameter to increase diffuse light. Maybe soup plates.
