i started my grow weeks before i found riu , i had plants at differant stages of developement, several weeks apart and i didnt know shit,
i am now into week 3 of flower they are all coming on fine, i toped 2 and left the others cos i was weeks behind, now i have 2 producing super fine colas all over ( at least 8 on each ) and 6 going christmas tree fashion, my point is that if i had found riu, your fine self ,mammoth and all the others before, i started things would have been a lot easier. basicaly reading your thread and mamoths has given me the knowladge i should have had in the beginning.
so its a huge thanks from me for the intoxicating read and the wealth of knowladge thats come my way

Beautiful run you had here Jig just wanted to stop in a give ya props. Just like so many others ive been watching from a far and yet i feel so near lol. I have an outside grow and i have the same feelings for my plants as you do yours (well maybe not the same mine arent of the same breed only vegetables hehe). But ive learned so much just from reading your grow that i had to stop in and thank you after youve had a chance to kinda sit back and enjoy =). Ill see if i cant get ahold of my girls digital camera and take a few pics of what you helped me accomplish over the past few months, ill try and send it directly but if i cant figure it out i hope you wouldnt mind just a few pics on your journal here (not trying to bite off it!!). Hey everyone...

Long time no talk. I have missed you all. I wanted to drop a quick update with a large update to follow tonight.

4 plants chopped. 2 are drying. 2 are curing. First plant yeilded 29 grams. 2nd plant 34 grams.

The plant I just trimmed might give me 2 oz or more.

Me and my wife are trimming the 5th plant. Maybe finish today. White Widow will come down when I/ we finish that.

I made some bubble hash using the gumby/ gravity method. Worked well. I have a 2.9 gram ball of hash. Ever so tasty.

Also made canna-country crock. Turned out to be pretty much vegetable oil with thc in it. Made brownies using 1/3 of a cup of the oil. Ate 3 brownies (1/6 of the whole batch) and felt funnier than I have in about 15 years. Man that is some serious butter/ oil for real.

That brings me to the reason for being busy this last week. A fellow member of RIU, Survolte , came to visit. He agreed that the brownies were off the charts.

He also helped trim which is why I'm so far along.

Some of my buds are out of this world.

Promise I will give you some pics later... have to get ready for the in-laws tomorrow, haha. The party never ends.

I am becoming blazing fast at the trimming. Still keeping my standards pretty high. I guess at some point I will need to explain how I made my hash and butter. The hash was pretty much like the gumby hash video. Only I had to do things a few time becuase I kept messing up. Do you cure hash?

My 3rd and 4th plants... the ones that are drying right now, make the first two plants look like jokes. They have so much more bud, and much bigger buds, and much better looking buds. I'm pumped. The 5th looks great also... I just have to wait till it's done to judge. The white widow is looking pretty nice too.

I'll be sure to write up a nice long smoke report on my Hindu Skunk soon. It isn't the heaviest I have ever smoked, but it is definitely Indica. Sorta like a 70/30 indica mix. I think some of the bigger better buds that are drying will be even better. The lighter buds are nice also... they are not great, but absolutely smokable. Get's you nice and buzzed.

The smell of the cured bud is pretty citrusy to me. I'll have to ask my wife what she thinks. I guess that is the pineapple sweetener stuff, who knows.

The bud I've had so far has been the stuff under the HPS... the plant I just started curing is from under the MH... I am excited to see if there is a difference, and what I like better.

I really can't wait to see how much I get total... and to get this closet rocking with my Purple Kush plants (clones no more).

Wow nice job, How do the cardboard boxes work for you? Looked like a super simple method Ive heard of it before never looked into it though...

I think you did a great job on the hash. I am curious to know what you messed up on and how you liked the method overall.

Can we get some more details as to the status of the widow? I am BLAZED and a bit tipsy so maybe I am missing something...just curious to see the comparison. I really hope you will break it down detail by detail.

I am really excited. I found a legit local guy to get clones from so no ordering seeds or other nonsense.

I have my pick from blueberry, hashberry, fat basterd, skunk, top 44, and pure power plant. Not to take away attention from where its due...just wanted to share my joy LOL. Take care.

no curing time on hash as far as i know, it is the vegitive that needs to lose its cloiraphil *cant spell* the trycs you collect to press into hash isnt green, so, no cure time, as i was tought.

Just wanted to drop in quick and say yah. The brownies were amazing. And I cant believe they were made with the un-crystaly trim. I laughed like when I first started smoking. It was great to get to try stuff he got from the medical store and compare it with his. I say his hindu-skunk is right up there with the 70$ og kush we smoked. It was great stuff and I cant believe I got to try it. I wish all of you could. I didnt like the hash as much, but I think its because Im not a big fan of hash. it was really strong almost intoxicating head and body high. Well thank you jig for having me up. Everything was fantastic, and I hope you find a place to sell your stuff. I miss the hindus.

Hey UNHALLOWED... welcome. And yes, the boxes have worked great for me. I hardly open them so the buds are drying very very slowly, but I am in no hurry as I have some curing to tide me over. I think the box with the fan works the best, but I would imagine a 10cfm fan for that size box would be good. And then maybe run the fan for 20 minutes 3 or 4 times a day would be optimum in my book.

But I'm just letting them sit in the boxes checking on them once a day. Taking maybe 7 days to dry and even then the stems don't break in 2, just snap over, if that makes sense.

Update with the harvest

Plant #4 (3rd to be harvested): 56.1 grams.

That brings the total yeild so far (3 of 6 plants) to around 120 grams (4 and 1/4 oz)... wow. It sounds impressive if you call it a qp. Well impressive either way I guess. I'm glad I bought 6 jars, and glad 4 were large. It works out perfect.

I still have tons of pics for you all, and tons of info (hash, butter, smoke report, general update). Soon I promise. I only have the white widow to chop. She is getting siccors (how on earth do you spell that) after I hit Submit Reply.

T minus 1 hour till the visitors arrive. Does anyone think I should offer the in laws a brownie??? hahahahahahaha

What's up Jig? Too bad you aint on the east coast or else I coulda helped you trim them lovely buds too. I loved the video as usual. How much gravity did you go through on this grow? I would love to pics some up and use it on my TSS and Church but due to it being kinda pricey I would only want to get a small botlle. Let me know if you get a chance dude. +rep if it lets me

Gravity.... I only bought the small 8 oz. bottle. $25 I beleive. I used about half the bottle, but that's with a big rez and me using it for like 3 or 4 runs... instead of one. So yeah, you don't use much at all.

EDIT: Started cutting the white widow last night. Man she is going to be nice. I could never find anywhere on the Hindu Skunk that was more than around 60% Amber trichs. The stuff I looked at on the Widow was all around 80-90% amber. Funny too becuase maybe only 60% of the pistils have changed color.
