Here is an easy way to get 6 CFL's over your canopy...And a cool 4 way extension I bought on EBAY.

1 Power Strip (The Longer The Better)
$3.97 Home Depot

3 outlet socket adapters
$2.00 Each Home Depot

3 Socket "Y" Splitter
$3.00 Each Home Depot
Yea, this is a nice route to go because you can drop them vertically around the plants.

Hey Inthesmoke, did you raise the lights to take the pictures you posted? Those CFLs are way to far away.

Yeah I keep them about 2 inches away from my plants and since that pic a couple weeks ago I've dropped 3 single hanging cfl's about 4inches below my canopy

go to your local big box hardware store and find a 6' grounded power cord. take the back off the vanity fixture by removing the little circle things around each socket on the front. mine just slid off, but some unscrew. then you can separate the back and front of the fixture. the wiring is easy. green to green, white to white, black to black. electrical tape and/or wire nuts, and you're done.

Speaking of which, here's a pic of the ghetto reflector system I setup. I bought one of those car dashboard sunlight reflector things from Walmart for a few bucks and created an enclosure for the AK. She seems to love it, because she's growing crazy in it.

Here is mine i just made it today. 4 Peices of 12 inch long 1x6 glued and screwed in a square with holes drilled accordingly and reflective inside. I'm replacing all the CFLS with 42 watters. This is only for a box 16x16x48 so it should be fine with some side lighting i think.

42w are quite a bit bigger than the 25w ... make sure they fit ;-)

Sometimes, yes. My bad, but those look like 42W size (the bigger of the 2 bulbs in his box, that is!)
BTW, +Rep fer being literate!
i can tell the smaller ones are 13w, id have to look at my 25 vs 42 to tell what the big ones are.

dont you love it when people try to flame you, but flame themselves instead ?:mrgreen:bongsmilie

malbulja I am really curious as to how much bud you get from this single plant cfl method. Also, are the buds loose? Iv'e read that cfl flowers are loose and less.
It looks great for people like me who don't need multiple plants and tons of weed around. Love it!

This has been a debate that has been raging for years. Ask Where the Hell am I or look for his journals. He is doing great things with CFLs. There is a new growfaq article where a guy shows a plant grown entirely from CFLs (growfaq/1738.htm) in the Lighting section. See my signature for the download information for the new growfaq release.

This is a plant grown entirely from CFLs (from a poster here, I don't know who).
