DIY 300W LED for $9?

Today I bought 20 15W led's for 50 cents each. My plan is to attach these lights to some kind of frame and use them in my 2x4 tent.

(They are normally $1 but today they are 50% off)

I found some simple light fixtures for $1.58 each in home depot, I didnt buy any of these yet since I might find a better deal.

I can attach these to a frame and use a junction box for the wires to make sure nothing is exposed. The only thing is that the bulbs are quite big and sort of like spotlights. Regardless I think I should be able to fit them all on some kind of frame.

My question is: Will this be nearly as effective as a 300w led grow light? Maybe as effective as a 200w light while using an extra 100w? ( I want to use it for veg and flower ).

That's a cheap deal alright! Probably cost me a couple of quid each for something similar.

Under that yellow sale sticker does it say 800lumens?
If so then that's only 53lm/w which is very low for LEDs
Some strips run around 200lm/w
HPS runs around 150lm/w
CFL runs around 60lm/w

300w of those would probably be closer to 100w of some modern Samsung boards or strips. (if they are 800lumen for 15w.

You can also look at bulb adapters to utilize one E26 socket and run multiples.

Also many grows cut off diffuser to free up light. But I would look at maybe better led bulbs.

And there some pretty bright bulb offerings out there too . Like these Phillip and SANSI led ( 3500 - 4000 lm/w ).
