no, it does not. i do not consider 1 or 2 male pods on an otherwise female plant a hermy. i call this "self preservation". most strains will put out a male flower or 2 during the last week or 2 of flowering. i think true hermies show both sexes throughout flowering. a true hermy will have as many male flowers as it does female. :blsmoke:
thanks for the clarification..

I have heard about female plants putting out male flowers late in the flowering cycle.. I just assumed it was WAY WAY late...

My next question is this...

these NON HERMIES that make flowers..... - would you KEEP any clones from these plants?

DO you see this as an unacceptable trait for a plant that you would consider keeping around your garden?

very good question.

i have a friend mothering the black domina for me. i saw 1 male flower on the lower part of 1 plant so far. i will use cuttings from the mother for my next run. i don't think i would breed with it though. :blsmoke:

but ....................... i would prefer not to have them in my garden. i did have to use a true hermy to pollinate my last hijack. i'm outta beans and had no choice. i'm growing a few out now and so far they look ok. they aren't flowering yet so i really don't know what they will do.

this is the jazz train that went hermy. my only "true" hermy. i have been letting it finish outside in my greenhouse. it is almost done. it smells amazing. very strong skunky smell. i don't see any seeds on it which is odd. i see a lot of burst male flowers though. if i find seeds i may have to grow a few out just because of the smell. i really like the smell. stupid male flowers ruined everything.:evil:

Powdery mildew? Where did that pop up? Also you do have those small pots, I have always heard 1 gallon for every 2 feet, is that not always true? I notice a few people are able to grow nice plants in small pots, is there a trick? :) Thanks!

powerdy mildew has been hanging around since i brought in a dirty clone. i took the clone out weeks ago but i still get sots of mildew here and there. it's under control but it would have been nice not to have it at all.

the trick to small pots ........... water more often.
