I have 2 questions what is the difference between distilled water and natural spring water and do you have to have pH balance reader

Not flaming, but it is sort of helpful to have a ph test kit and EC meter to know if you have good water and good soil.
Im using sunshine advance mix#4 its a natural and organic, myco-active, earth friendly coca-coit, no-burn formula and the nutrients bio thrive said no need to worry about ph

Hey Bugeye.
- True, and somewhere, I do have them. Had to use them a lot, in the past.

I'm using a "professional growing substrate" that I got from a "Hardware" place near my "Home", and RO water from the grocery store (saving for a RO system), haven't had to check the Ph since.

Spring water has many micro minerals including calcium and magnesium and plants like it better. Distilled water has nothing. Yes you can amend and add and so on, but its much better for the plant in its natural form. I used to use distilled water and realized I was wasting my money, so I buy 50 cent gallons of spring water now vs 1.50$ for distilled. Also if using spring water you'll run into less of those pesky micro deficiencies.

Thanks i got distilled water for now but i switch later thanks

If you're deciding on which one to buy, distilled water is evaporated and condensed to purify and spring water is filtered. You don't need a ph meter, but if you want to eliminate some potential problems, you can use test strips. Cannabis is not that picky, it grows around Chernobyl. If you want a good baseline for your water, I would suggest RO water. Even though my plants enjoy RO water @ eight ppms, they really grow better when I use rain water @ twenty five ppms. I have a reverse osmosis filter, but it wastes so much water, I try to catch rain water from my roof as much as I can.
