Distance of 600watt to seedlings?

hey guys just wanted to run something by you guys,

This will be the first seed grow ive done was getting some amazing blue cheese clones for a few years, what i want to know is how far should i have the 600 watt away from seedlings?

What i was thinking is using a fan on the seedlings to help keep the heat down, i also dont want them to stretch too much.

if using a 600 for seedlings mabybetter to use fan on the bulb to cool it down and a small fan on seedlings to give a gentle breeze,and give a good distance from bulb to seedlings until u find optimal distance.

18inch wen first broke soil and get it closer as she stretches just dont push her to hard ay!!

i've just done the same m8, I kept my seedlings about 3half 4 feet away . I put a fan on the seedling's not just to keep them cool , but to make the stalks stronger , i am so glad i used the 600 cos the plants are Fucking Monsters.. best of luck to ye m8 ... BTW keep yer eye on them cos it gets fucking hot under a 600 watter......... PS you dont want a fan on yer bulb it just blows the heat around yer grow room quicker , so imo unless you have a cool tube , i would use the fans for the plants , but thats only my opinion

use the back of your hand...if its hot ...they are hot
