Distance from Sprayers to Bottom of Net Pots?

I've been Slowly planning and constructing an aero system using ez clone sprayers. Its a very small one out of standard 18g totes. I have about 12" from the bottom of my net pots to the top of the sprayers. Is this an acceptable distance? If it just wont work I can probably just shift gears and go bubbleponics There is no way I can get more clearance in this build.

I got most of the 300+w 21,000 Lumen CFL lighting system finished. I just have to iron out some wrinkles here in the hydro system and get the ventilation done. This is my first build and I'm trying to avoid as many mistakes as possible and creatively plan as much as possible.

hmmm,.. your misters are on the bottom?.. roots growing down to them?... im thinking there going to get blocked by the roots and might work better mounted to the lid, or better yet if you can swing it, the sides of the tote. just a thought, but I'm not completely sure of your setup to be

I saw a few successful builds similar to what I have planned. They usually use larger totes and thus have more height for clearance. I did take extra measures when plumbing things to keep what distance I could VS what others have. I just dont know if its enough. Interesting ideas you put out however...sprayers on the lid pointed down VS on the bottom pointed up. That I could easily adapt. I could start with the sprayers on the bottom pointed up. once the roots grow out a bit I can plumb them on the top pointed down(but not exactly attached to the lid but plumbed up to it).

Excellent question, we are doing this setup also and ours are about 14" - everything is going good but we are new so only time will tell. Good luck!
