distance from filter to fan?

Its a 4 inch 170cfm inline fan pulling through a jr. Carbon filter and a 400 watt hps hood. Its not hooked up yet so i don't know if I have negitave pressure or not inside the grow box.

I think you should be fine......I have a 2x4x5 grow tent with carbon filter and 190 cfm blower runnin thru a 400w hps/mh hood and it works just fine
