Most of the applicants for medical marijuana registration certificates have been able to correct deficiencies in their applications… and 460 of the 486 applications we received are now complete. Five applications have been withdrawn, 3 have been denied, 15 are pending, and 3 are on the clock to respond to requests for additional information.
The complete applications are....

Once dispensary licenses are awarded, it will take at least 60 days for most to be approved to operate.
As of yesterday, Humble says that some of us will have about 3 months yet to renew our cards and still get a year of cultivation.

I think many dispensaries will be in this position but I have a sneaking suspicion that a few of these "cultivation centers" operating currently have been set up in such a way that they will be transferred over to a dispensary grow as soon as physically possible.. I know many of these cultivation centers already have the go-ahead from the fire dept, zoning requirements met, etc... so there will be less barrier to these places opening than others (and they already have plants growing!) Gerald has pretty much stated on these forums that is what his Caregiver Circle will convert to, I'm sure other "business-men" types have the same idea.

I bet the DHS is going to take as long as possible, 60 days, to approve a place to open though. They don't do anything before a deadline.

There were multiple people applying for those same locations that Gerald is located in. Same with the Elements space. None of those spots were off limits just because someone was already in them. That just made is easier for savvy applicants to find an address to submit with their application ;)

good call... wonder if mr. humble has his hands in any of these dispensaries...
I doubt it. This is from his blog:

We’re also putting together a contract to hire a vendor to help us ensure that the future dispensaries are truly “non-profit”. The contractor will be reviewing the required dispensary audited financial statements to make sure they’re on the up-and-up in terms of truly being “non-profit”. For example- (among other things) the contractor will be looking for evidence that dispensaries are getting “fair value” for goods, services, salaries, and reimbursements- to make sure that they don’t use a shell game to over-pay for things or services as a way of moving assets out of the dispensary. Stay tuned.

I think if someone sees his involvement they will blow the lid. Ya never know though.
