Here is a thought have all doctors that give a prescription for medical marihauna collect a union due this would be a great way to collect funds. This would fill the coffer and get things done.
Michigan Medical marihauna local 420. Without joining the union no scrip...... This would be very effective in supporting are legal rights and it would not cost very much say $20.00 for two year union due would equal $2,400.000.00 if every patient joins. We need to start at the beginning of the cycle not in the end.....

I don't think drs will help us collect signatures to put them out of work. Or help us collect money to fight our cause.
They WILL however collect signatures to recommend we need to see our drs more often. Or any other twist to give them more power, control, money, etc.

As far as us needed tons of money to win the war. We've been doing pretty fucking good though this war.
This is one little set back. Is there anything at all the government could do to stop marijuana prohibition at this point? What is would take scares me.
They lost, we are simply negotiating terms.
Us organizing is needed and will speed up the process and keep more out of jail, but losing the war isn't going to happen. It isn't even possible.

Slow down man... You need some serious organization and lawyers before you go about doing something like this, there is a lot more to it than a list of names on a piece of paper. There are plenty of organized groups out there already like Norml and Americans for Safe Access fighting for our rights, try contacting one of them to see how you can help.

If the doctor is not willing to join the union and collect union dues we picket them and run them out of business.

Good idea but i think we may have a hard time getting med mj docs to offer funds for legalization. The state just cut their income by making our cards good for 2 years. Legalization will hurt their med mj income a tad more.

Keep the ideas coming though. I think we are on to some good stuff.

These are special interest groups who are backed by big money. If we let them write a petition it will resemble the last piece of crap they tried to run. We need to write it to make provisions for the small guy. The last one left it wide open for big industry to stamp us out. Lets draw up a proposition that's for the good of the people.

What about legalization support from our legal community? The absurdity of MMMP has been very lucrative "work" for them, not to mention all those retainers bloating their bank accounts ...

Getting back to buckaroo's "Hegelian Dialect" comment, the actual source of the word "rhetoric" ...

What does a community lawfully using a local statute to shutter an MMJ facility (the actual subject of the SC case at hand) have to do with anyone being arrested?!?

BTW Am I on Dr. Bob's ignore list?
Not at all, I like to read your posts.

I would think that the $100 per year (now 2 years)
per patient is peanuts compared to what they would
make off of the taxes/transfer fees associated with
full out legalization.

Where is the info on renewing every two years? I need to read up on this.

You think the small guy is going to make anything happen on his own? Good luck!

It was in one of the bills that just passed in December. We also have to get our pictures on our cards. I think the picture thing was made to have another excuse to drag the system down so it takes forever to get cards again.

Not if we all think like that......

One problem with taxing is the very close relationship between the state and federal tax systems. I believe the feds will need to get their heads out of their asses before such could truly happen.

I have to wonder if the state isn't going to increase the price of cards to $200 now. Also think the doc's will be increasing the price of their service.
