DIRTY WHITE BUD SUCKS

. . .They were represented to be stable F2 beans.
You need to brush up on your Mendelian genetics if you think F2 generations will produce stability across the board. Even starting with homozygous parents to breed the F1 generation (most breeders work with heterozygous [poly-hybrid] parents), you'll see variance and representation of both dominant and recessive traits from the F2 breeding round, regardless of selection (see Punnet Square). Hence the testing status of these beans. It sucks that the test round went so bad, but that's what testing is for.

Uh yeah, f2 is generally where you will see the most variance in phenos. F1s generally lean one way or the other. F3 starts to show some uniformity.

Yeah so again, was this the first place you came to bitch? Did you talk to Mota about the test round you had? what was his response? I would like to know what his response to you was, or did you not even give him the chance to tell you" yeah, we are getting lots of the same reports from the other testers, we are scrapping it" " heres a pack of some proven gear for your troubles and help"

It's not necessarily a rare occurrence. This can happen in a poor environment, hence why you should let him know how your feeding is, pot sizes, average temperature ranges, types of lighting/wattage, etc.

It could also be simply selecting a poor mate. These things happen. It's a gamble anytime one crosses different plants. Perhaps the F1 cross was fine from a stability control standpoint but the f2 showed a recessive hermie gene buried in the mix.

You can't bitch if you test beans. It's like rule number one, perhaps rule number 2 as you need to report to the breeder any problems as well as your growing techniques. I stand by my point of you being a whiny bitch at this point
Whiny bitch would apply if I knew the rules and knowingly broke them. At this point I'm feeling a bit misled by people whom I thought would know better.

Your perspective is appreciated. Complaining about being called a little bitch would be acting like a little bitch, which only little bitches do.

Yup yup, seems to be the consensus opinion. So I'm the noob and obviously didn't ask around enough. One serving of crow coming up, feathers and allllllll...

Nope, you are an ungrateful, whiney, bitch. Notice commas are your friend and help narrate the speaking pattern or join two related ideas together.

Really they are testers, are you confused by the concept? "Know the rules", they aren't hard and fast, but you should be smart enough to put testers + no cost, equal a gamble.

I've got nothing to add here except you failed at testing, have bad form, and probably should not be a tester again.

(Notice proper use of comma)

i'm also not trying to be a dick here, but they're called testers for a reason imo..
many breeders will give out thousands of beans as testers.. they could be testing one of many things, germ rates, how they handle different environments, intersex traits, etc, etc.. being that most growers can only grow x amount of plants at one time, testers are a vital part of a strain project..
often times testers will report back with say intersex traits, bad germ rates, w/e, and the entire project will get scrapped and or put on a back burner.. this is the role the person testing said beans plays.. if you're testing gear, ime, it's not best to run a test crop and nothing else, unless you don't mind your time and effort all being for naught, except the information to help said breeder..
to slam a breeder for test beans though, idk, that's why they're called testers and they're not for sale yet imvho..
shit i rather test my own shit how can you tell if a person has any skills??? how can you know if the other persons fucking up?? get paid the big buck you should run your own test thats my look at things i never herd of them im not hating or not taking sides but realy my question is how can you trust someone you know alot of factors have play test your own germ rate test your own genetics to see if thier ready for the over the counter man that shit ruins lives out thier it realy does.. man i dont run fool rooms because of it when i buy seeds.but if your making a living at it dont get lazzy do the work dont try to finish the work its not science if you dont jot down the infromation first hand.. im not gona trust someone in bum fucked egypt to tell me if it went ok??? lolz this is a joke right am i reading science or a joke??? and if you took testers man thats what happends i guess.. but no breeder should give out testers they should do the work themselfs that would prove them and their work right let me build you a plain but wait im gona let you try to fly it... lolz im only kidding but both players on both side.. well im no body but thier someone out their setting the standard????let me know i want those beens dankitie dankness.. with no problems?

Well for someone like mota who sells to many vendors who in turn sell to many different people of all skill sets and grow rooms, it might be in his best interest to have growers test his gear, who reflect the same type of growers that would be buying his gear. If the masses cant grow it, why sell it to the masses?

I'm clone only other than this foray, never said different to anyone, ever.

My interest isn't breeding, it's in getting the most out of the various inputs, the square footage and the genetics, period.

Such a focus demands absolutely stable genetics, even to the point of being somewhat less than the very latest.

Clearly, being a seed tester isn't compatible with a 99% clone setup. Live and learn...

wait lolz that is a smart answer lolz good answer but if I was a dumb ass lolz not cool the science behind it should be well tested and documented first hand from begining to end. But really test it. Well to each there ownI guess good luck ima check him out.. I haven't herdof him gona see his gear. Don't get offended I'm just an ass but serious ly not cutting it sounds like a short cut to me

No it's not compatible with people that don't understand the concept of testers, has nothing to do with running clone onlys. Besides some of those can throw nanners as well.

And when they do, they're fucking GONE, and I'm sure I'm not alone in doing that. Who likes seeded rooms??

No one, that's why you inspect ones plants on the regular, particularly any new gear in the garden for the first time.

You do know what male flowers look like right?

I'm no expert, but I think it's pretty common practice for breeders to send out testers. At least American breeders..... can't speak for the Dutch and Spanish companies.

Is there an American breeder that doesn't use testers and does everything in house?
