DINAFEM Seeds will not sprout after germination methods.

I bought expensive DINAFEM seeds from a second hand retailer, and they all germinated o.k through the paper towel+cup of water method, but, 4 will not pop out from the soil, and 1 seed made it out of the soil, but the seed was stuck on the head leaves.. and I ripped it off with too much force.

Are these seeds possibly past their freshness date?, or maybe my techniques were faulty? It was a little cool while I was trying to germinate, could it be due to the temperature?

Note: Bagseed seeds sprout like crazy, I have 8 bag seeds going really healthy green right now. So does anyone have experience with DINAFEM?

The DINAFEM seeds were Bubba Kush so I am extremely disappointed.

Any advice? ***PICTURE*** the plants you see are from bagseed/pepper plant. vlcsnap-2020-03-13-12h30m52s448.png

I grow dinafem Critical + every year at least once. More often than not 2 or 3 times.

I’ve also grown cheese, power kush, moby dick etc.

I soak my seeds in plain tap water for 24 hours prior to planting in my coco.

Then I plant them in coco and switch on my lights.

Occasionally I get a a failure maybe 1 in 10 if I had to guess.

Moby dick was the photo original and it turned out ok.

Nothing special.

Hence why I always grow critical + original photo.

It turned out ok. I haven’t revisited it since.

If there is one strain I do recommend it’s CRITICAL+

I believe 2 out of 4 are slowly approaching the surface.. I have a warmer temp now so here goes.
I get impatient with seeds.... I think they need to be in the mid 70’s during germination, seems they do better to me but my space is normally much lower than that

I'm guessing you bought the seeds from a shop? Could be way old stock I got some beans from a local seed shop and it turned out they was 4+years old and the breeder didn't even sell them anymore

yeah i got them from a shop that carries the stock. so far I have 1 coming up healthy. the pic is blurry. The seed is stuck on this one as well, but I will let it go. It is doing well! going to make clones off this 1 survivor lol.

Its been a while. Thanks for the replies. I had a good crop with some clones and am currently on the second grow with them. The dinadfem seed that survived is the mother on the right in the picture. And I managed to cut a healthy clone which is on the left here in the picture. Really slow growth. Lets hope its really potent! bubba kush by dinafem.thumbnail_IMG_20200616_204948.jpg
