Dinafem OG Kush indoor organic journal

Here we go.

I've converted a closet into... a grow closet! there's about a square meter of floor space, and something like 1,7 m of effective height. I bought a 315w CDM lamp and a "bloom" bulb, I just didn't have enough money to buy the grow bulb too. So the red one will have to do also for vegging this first time.

I vent to outside through a carbon filter, the intake is passive. The temps seem to stay at a nice 23C, so I'm happy with that.

I'm growing in dirt. I used to grow cannabis something like almost 20 years ago,for maybe 4 harvests, but in the meantime I've fiddled with all kinds of legal plants, and I'm also an avid composter,so organic growing is my thing.

My soil mix was something like 20% perlite, 10% coco coir, 10% food scrap compost and the rest bagged soil. I also threw in some worm castings and gypsum. I have four 11 ltr. pots, and because all of my seeds germinated I added a fifth, a 6 liter pot just because I didn't have the heart to throw that fifth seed away. The smaller pot has a different mix btw, it's 20/20/60 of perlite/vermiculite/compost.

So yeah the seeds, they are Dinafem OG Kush, feminized. I germinated them in a plastic box on some wetted paper. Three of them split after two days, and the last two followed along a day later. I put them in soil as soon as I saw they've split.

I plan on having a relatively fast grow, vegging for 4 weeks at the most. I'll probably LST them or something... I was considering scrogging but I really don't have time for all that adjusting and tying down etc.

For nutes I have BioBizz Grow and Bloom, and some garden center seaweed extract. I might also get a jar of molasses later, just to try that stuff out.

I would be very happy with a gram/watt yield. Please comment and ask away if and when you feel the need

Saweet...very similar, grew in the 80’s, now 30yrs later growing indoors 1st time.

It’s becoming legal now, (only medical here for now) things are changing !

OG kush is offered at our dispensary and is the best strain they’ve had since opening, always a sellout.

I’ll be watching as I’m on my first grow indoors and ever in 30yrs lol its a fukin hoot and I know you’ll grow some dank cause ya found this place. There is some amazing stuff they’re doing nowadays.

First one's up, start the timers! My compost looks pretty funky up close it's home made stuff, kitchen scraps mainly.

I have the light 40 inches from the soil surface. I'll start lowering it after all the seedlings are up. The bulb seems to emit so much less heat than an HPS that I think I should get down to 15 inches or so by flowering. I'm going 18/6 .
