Any of you guys fans? What was your reaction when you found out about this?

This dude was amazing, his work in Pantera was groundbreaking..

His untimely death was heartbreaking.. The more I read about this guy the more I think this shit was horrible..

Pantera was a big part of my formative years. Dime is/was one of those instantly recognizable metal guitarists with a style all his own. I'll never forget some of his amazing riffs from Vulgar Display and Cowboys.

I was saddened by the news of his death, the whole thing was so uncalled for and tragic. But he lives on through his music, no Pantera fan will ever forget him or his place in the pantheon of metal.

RIP Dimebag... One of the last true rock stars, all-round good guy, killer guitarist. One of my childhood heroes and meeting him in real life he did not disappoint by being a dick but put aside time to have a few beers with a small random group of fans.
LEGEND.
The news of his senseless killing deeply shocked me, I was quite depressed for a while.

Thats weird dime just popped in my head around the same time you posted. His art is mastery. His murder still seems unreal.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. Found out about what?

Been a fan since The Great Southern Trendkill in 96.Back in my high school years, I idolized Dime he was "it" back in those days. His death was a passing of an era,no one was quite like him.Its so fucked up,of all the people in the world and rockers out there,he had to be the one that was killed onstage and with the circumstances involved it was all to real,it was like the last person in the world you could ever conceive of this happening to.He didnt deserve what happened at all.
