Dimable photosensitive switch supplemental regulation???

I am going to be running some induction bulbs which are also dimable like the led. In a winter greenhouse you never know whats happening with the sun day by day or minute by minute. The plants want what they want regardless. Can we make or purchase switches that dim the lighting based on the ambient conditions?

no real dimming though

Buy a photo sensor and wire It in series with the timer. That way the lights will come on if it gets to dark but ONLY when the timer is on. Just make sure the sensor is down circuit of the timer and not before it

It seems Aduino might do this. I googled and found a few things. This video shows dimming based on light intensity. Here's an instructable. This google search shows more.
