You took an already awesome journal and turned it up a notch by doing the recap at this stage. I look forward to your updates. Keep up the good work, taking note to improve my journal.

You say you started with a 25% dose at week five (too early) and then later started with a 500ppm etc. What percentage of the recommended dose is 500 or 1000 ppm?

the 25% was near the 500ppm mark

I have noticed that there are different theories on ppm during the grow cycle. The recommendations on the Fox Farms nutes seems high at points, but mixing the nutes at 50-75% usually gets to that point, and the plants love it. But I think it might be different for each brand of nutes as well, since quite a few of those 'millions of parts' are probably way different ;)

So I think going with gradually increasing percentages of the manufacturers recommendation and watching the plant is best, rather than relying on the ppm. The only reason I track ppm is to compare the run-offs from what I put in to what comes out, and then what comes out with the in-between watering's, and that only in an effort to push more nutes.

ill be honest with you HAF, i only refer to ppm when im posting numbers on here, so other growers can get an idea of what the feed rate was. Also for testing runoff as you say. Other than that, ppm dont mean much in my day to day lol

If that was at the beginning of the grow, it could also be the soil. Some have more starting goodies than others, and the plant will tell you when it needs nutes. You've seen how the leaves droop a bit just after watering, but a few hours later 'pray' to the light? The very first time they don't respond to the watering the same way they want food. After that you can start them on a 'schedule'

And that is can occur at about 6 nodes, because my first feed on this grow was when I topped ;)

thats a very good and useful tip. Makes total sense and it would be easy to spot if you know how they normally react.

Day 19 flower

Temps
78f / 48 rh lights on
68f / 48 rh lights out

I dropped humidity down from 50-55 % to 45-50% range. My tent is pretty packed, wanting to decrease any chances for pm or mold to show its ugly face.

All 4 are doing well, kinda just coasting along here nowadays. Will do final pruning today or tomorrow. Clean them up one more time before they are finally left alone until harvest.

Buds stacking nicely

Smelling nice. Not strong outside tent but when tent door is open the entire basement quickly fills with that beautiful smell.

Was gonna prune again , may clean up FP3 and the Atomic but FP1 and FP2 both seem fine,

Looking tasty! I wonder how many toes we could find in pics if we tried :) It's like people trying to sell a mirror online without getting a pic of themselves in it LOL

You give me a lot of credit, but I'm just sharing what was shared with me previously. I think a big difference is taking the time to explain what seems 'obvious', because it may not be to everyone. I also post my screw-ups. If you can learn from someone else's mistakes it's a lot cheaper.

Pick one larf bud and leave it. designate that limb as the only one you will taste before full cure and don't snip it early. Dry that one in a dehydrator or whatever, and leave the rest alone.

Also, at harvest you will have a bucket of sugar-trim that is available for almost immediate use.

haha i just noticed the toes , went back and looked at all the pics ive taken of this grow and yep, lots of toes lol

I only have about 20-24" between tent and wall, cant get back any further to take good pics lol,

haha im sure i will be tempted, but lucky for me, i was given a pile of good bc bud that my bros grew last season, to get me to harvest lol

Its pretty good, not primo, but its free and gets the job done.

I may take a small lower bud site off at some point when its close tho, for research lol

The credit is worthy bud, you are constantly sharing your triumphs and mistakes, everyone should and could learn from both.

Personally one of the reasons i even decided to create this journal was for the next guy. That next newbie who was just like me 3-4 months ago, if any of this helps even one person it wouldve been worth it.

I have all of my own personal notes/journal stuff logged separately on my pc. This thread gets the condensed version lol
