Difference in heat between 250w and 400w HID?

I was going to put a 250w HPS + Cooltube in my 2' x 2' x 6' space, but bought a 400w instead since it was the same price. How much more challenging will it be to keep the 400w-er reasonably cool vs. the same setup at 250w?

I was figuring it would give off more heat, but I wasn't sure there was a 1/1 correlation between them.

I'm planning on using an exhaust fan and possibly an intake fan: I've already got one oscillating fan on my babies and could put another one on as well if need be. So I'm thinking I'll be able to keep the cabinet cool enough.

man, i too just bought a 400w HPS, got tha wholes setup, ballest an everything, cost me about 400$, and i had to vent that bitch, it got up to 97degrees the other day, so i redid my growroom. its not hard to do, just gotta have some sorta cold air blowin in ur room or that shit will get soupdoop hotttt. u could try to vent the hot air from the light into the attic if you have one also. guy at the store was tellin me how to get it to keep from gettin tooooo hot, but im sure you'll figure somethin out, goodluck man

I was planning to vent through a window: if the heat from my reptile collection hasn't already triggered a police raid, I doubt some additional warm air will cause me any troubles.

in a space like you have unless you leave ya grow space open you will havta get proper ventilation,dont matter if its a 250 or 400watter,,they both will get hot,the 400watters just not that much hotter,one of my grow wardrobes is 2.5x2.5x7ft and i have a ruck fan sucking excess heat out and just passive intake holes at the bottom,i keep the room the wardrobes in cool for obvious reasons,,,,peace
