difference between a medium base and a mogul base?

i want to get one of those 100 watt cfl's, some have a medium base, some have a mogel base

which will plug into a regular socket?

it says the base is E26, when i looked up E26 it said " In the United States, the standard size for general purpose lamps is E26"

Mogul is def the bigger ones. I ran into this same exact problem looking for my own CFLs. E26 is a medium base, which is also a standard base that will screw in to your everyday socket.
