Im not sure if im going to try to lst cus ive read the guide and i just dont feel confident, plust this is the only grow ill be able to have till next summer so if i kill or hurt one i wont be happy.
all your doing is slightly bending, or tying down the plant so it grows in such a way that you maximize light. You can yield a lot more with just a little bit of training.

This is a plant before chop. Do you see how I trained the branches away from the center as to allow branches/buds to come up from the center and grow?

There's nothing to training dude ;)

Hey guys
I was wondering, is there a specific week or day i should switch my 6500 with my 2700 or should i wait till i see pre-flowers?
The plants are getting 250w of 6500 and 168w of 2700 which is good full spectrum but 418 of 2700 sounds better to me when they get into flowering.
What exactly do pre-flowers look like?

I would use both spectrums, the plants need both UVa lighting and UVb supplemented to them and both get the job done. I use 166 watts of 2700 and a 200 watt 6500k like yours. The cooler spectrums such as 6500k emit UVb which make for a potent harvest.

This is what preflowers look like, literally a bunch of white hairs poppin out. Don't stress yourself if you cannot find any, they will show in a week or two.

And I even LSTed mine. It brings out the branches covered by the other vegetation so they get a good amount of light too. Not just the top of the plant.

And bro these ladies branch out pretty fast so you dont necessarily have to LST right now. I didn't at the stage you are in now. I just started yesterday. Even if the plant has just started to flower it is fine to LST

I was looking at my plants and i just dont think they would benefit from lst right now except for some new growth under the top canopy. I have bent some of the branches down and it doesn't get them any extra light so i guess ill have to wait.

I just realized that my plants have been growing sooooo fast. Day 13-17 was prob the biggest amount of growth for only 4 days.

Look what i got guys!

My grow space.

Plants 1-4

New growth 1-2

I was wondering if someone could tell me if it looks like my plants are flowering because i really want to use this tiger bloom.

I don't know about tiger bloom to be honest, but your soil is probably still hot with nutes from the ffof.. id say you risk burning them if you try to add those nutes. As with all nutes start with like 1/4 strength and work your way up

thats true, i just feel like i have to act fast because these autos have short lifespans.

I know that's how you feel. But your plants react so fast and grow so quickly you'll be surprised. 60 or 70 or whatever many days you have left is going to be a longgg time. If you do over fertilize you can get nute lock and your plants growth will be stunted. Once they get bigger you can give them more nutes but you want to just let them relax and grow their roots in their pots. You also want your soil to dry out between waterings. Because when the soil dries out the roots reach for water, so by letting it dry out your helping your root system.

What I'm saying is you can give your plant too much love, sometimes (especially in the beginning) too much love can be a bad thing. (overwatering/nute lock). Especially because this is your first real grow you want to get a better understanding on the cannabis plant before you start tweaking and perfecting your technique. Once you come out of a grow with a harvest you come out with a lot of tested knowledge. I mean you can read and read all you want but you learn a lot more just by doing and observing.

Check these pics. I didn't use any type of bloom enhancer. Just 3 part Adv. Nutrients nutes, ffof, and molasses.. :peace:

ps: upper right plant was male in first pic, removed afterwords. The other pics are just the two plants.

Also the last pic isnt harvest day, I just never took a top-down shot on harvest day lol

They look real good so far man, keep it up! I'd definitely wait on that tiger bloom. If you had some FF big bloom now would be a good time to start, from what it says on the FF chart anyway.

I'm on my first grow aswell just a little ahead of you!!:)

I just started using the FF big bloom and I'm at 29 days.. My auto's "shortrider" supposedly don't show for 35 days so hopefully I will know soon!! I'm seeing preflowers I just don't see hairs or balls yet, can't wait!!

Sr Verde How have you solved your temp issues if you don't mind me asking from the high watt cfl's. That is if you even had heat issues lol..??

The reason i only have tiger bloom is because i was feeling cheap and figured if im only growing autos it isnt worth it to buy the veg nute.

Was using 6x 42w CFLs [252w] in a small box with two plants. Kept them as close as I could... I had two small fans in-taking air, blowing them on the plants and then up over the lights and out the box. Fans were on 24/7...

Sounds pretty much like what I have, thanks for the reply.

Yea you really don't need a veg nute with auto's, specially with FFoF. Big bloom is used throughout veg and flowering according to the FF chart. I think your talking about Grow Big which is what they use for veg, "high in N."

Either way I'm sure you will be more than happy with the tiger bloom! I'm looking forward to seeing those buds blow up:)

Don't use Tiger Bloom yet, if you have big bloom go for it, but I think Tiger bloom is really strong at this stage. For the later stages of flowering it is fine. With Big bloom though its so hard to burn your plants. I water mine every other watering with big bloom and she perks up and stands strong each time.
