I am growing 2 plants outdoors, in SW Florida. I did not write down, nor have i been keeping track of how long they have been growing. They are both about 8inches or so tall. Is there any way to estimate when i should harvest it?

ya dude your TOTALLY FUCKED. guess your just gonna have to pluck em up and eat em.

Of course i jest. what you need to do is take a second to read up on it. just go to google or something if your too lazy to get a book. first of all are you even flowering yet, something tells me your not. and you dont even have to think about harvesting until they are at least flowering.

i have looked up on it, i got a wide variety of answers that really didnt relate to what i was specifically asking. i started them indoors, and had to move them outdoors. this worked because it is just in time for growing season. but what i was asking is, can i just visually tell when the flowering stage has met its peak? and when VISUALLY can i begin to call it a "flowering" stage?

When it is time to harvest the trichromes will be cloudy->amber colored. You need a good microscope to check them out.

Another way to check, and its my prefered method is to check the hairs. If your plants buds are exhibiting mostly non white colored hairs you can probably bet she's ready. But you would probably want to look at the crystals first and make sure there not clear.
