Did I buy the right wattage ??

Daylight 6500K

60 W..... equual to I think it was either 13 or 15wattage

I thought I got it right but read some more posts on here and now I'm second guessing myself. It's day one of vegetative state and it's sticking straight up so..

Get the actual wattage not the incandescent equivalent. And that definitely is not enough light for any plant. Put 4 or more 23 watt cfls around your plant and it will love you for it. You can add more, but I would say at least 4 of those lights would be nice if you efficiently use it that is.

yeah you'll want a couple. a cheap alternative until you can more light supplies is a fluorescent tube light fixture and bulbs. Mine is in veg and has done great under a grow-lux fluorescent tube. im switching to cfls soon tho.

youve got a 13 or 15 w bulb

for any kind of results u will need 100W all up

As stated you need 23 watts too be effective.

I actually have 2 bulbs but I was only growing one plant. I'll get more but just want to makes sure I have the right ones.

I don't get it. I can't find a bulb with 6500K that is 23 Watts. I was in Home Depot and on their website and this is the ONLY daylight/23Watt they have and it's 5000K.

You can buy 6500k 23 watts, 40 watts, 100 watts etc. You just have to look at your local hardware or walmart.

I went to home depot and picked up a 4 pack of 23 watt 6500k cfls for $20. I wouldn't buy them in singles as they will be expensive.

I did. But I bought 60Watts and now everyone is saying I did do it wrong.
