Forgot to include some bud porn; here are the last 2 plants harvested. One plant goes in the bloom room when one comes out about every 14 days like clockwork, bitches. I try to cure for 60 days but it never lasts that long. One day I'm gonna fill up the flower room & harvest it all the same time which probly would yield a pound+

looks great my man
BUT... and this is just me, but I like em a bit more ripe than that man, think you'd be stoked to let that lady go another week or so.
It's all preferences though, but it looks a speck early by that pic, still have some fresh pistils there
Maybe next time take a cola at your normal pull time, and then let one ripen a bit, I think you'll be happy with the different nuances, not to mention they reaaally pack on the weight the last week

I was giving them longer but the bud was a little on the sleepy side. Many times I harvest out of necessity too. Gotta feed the ol lady; bitch can get cranky when she runs outta meds lol. Not sure if it's makes much difference but I've been running my bloom room at 11.5/12.5 because I had a few sativa doms that kept popping white pistils & just left it that way; thought maybe it would help finish them but it probly was a side effect of a hermie outbreak. Most of my stains finish at or just before 10 weeks though I could let them go longer and I have in the past- just need the weed some times so we don't run out. Id love to get away from harvesting a plant one at a time & flip the whole room at once.

ahh I see, yea... been there before man... more times than I could count..
hell some sativas will throw up fresh pistils the whole damn time
I had a kali that flowered for 120+ days, and it was still throwing whit pistils and immature calyxes
some sativas really respond well to metal halides bulbs too, you may want to try those
I shaved about a week off my normal harvest time by using a 1/1 ratio of hps to MH

This is the heart of my entire op: my worm factory 360. I'm very happy I spent the few bucks for this it keeps giving me free compost all year round to amend my soil and make teas with. I keep it just under the air intake for the bloom room to reap the co2 benefits of having a worm farm...worm farts are full of co2.

image.jpeg Just a spoonful of fresh castings in the pot of any green plant makes them very happy. It benefits my veggie garden as well & I give the worm leacheate to my house plants; even diluted 10:1 it's strong stuff

Love it :) It's great to get toured through a complete system like that - thanks!
I do think I am going that way too, albeit in a smaller, one-plant scale and no-till ;)
Will take my time with it though, as it will require a revision of my lights and ventilation system (thinking of one extractor fan for both veg n flower compartments in a closet). Meanwhile, seeing your complete setup gets me inspired to draft the design!
Yep I used to run 2 tents with a plant in each using the same exhaust fan/filter but it just couldn't keep up with our consumption. Takes time to learn what works best for you & keep improving on your process; enjoy your journey

also be careful what you wish for... I used to do monocrops and it's an absolute unwashed-dirty whore to trim ALL the plants at once.. I found that I couldn't keep up, and some of the plants would hang too long and be too dry...
so I like to run 12 plants, either 4 or 3 types, so I never have to do much more than a half lb at a time, so at the most I have 4 plants done at once.
in fact I mix my strains to stagger their finish times.
soo much easier... well for me anyways.. but now that i'm single, i'm a solo-trimmer

That's funny cuz I was running mh for the longest time and switched back to HPS about 6 mo ago. The HPS pushes bigger flowers but the mh makes them super frosty. Was thinking about switching them out like every 2 weeks to see how that works out

Yeah that what I think about too trimming so many plants at a time doesn't sound fun. One at a time is easier to handle but then we gotta kinda mete out our bud so we don't go through it without having something on the cure almost ready to smoke. I'm all about the hash though it's the wifey who can't live without a supply a premium dank

I hear ya there too...
the BEST results I ever got was with a 2/1 ratio.
that was yrs back, two 400 hps, and one 400 mh.
but now that they make a 600Mh, i'd go with 1200 watts of hps and 600 of mh
I run a 1/1 ratio, of the 12k mh bulb and a hps, I love the end result, and the yield diffs aren't that significant for me.
I just can't run 1800 watts or I run into heat probs

I run a HPS and MH now and rotate the plants between the two. Glad to know Sativas like it. Since you mentioned hermie and your light cycle, I'm wondering if that's what affected my P.C. and Hindu kush since I run 11/13.

lol I've got about 1085w in my flower room- tried adding a 400w instead of the LEDs and it just trips the circuit off every time. This is about as high as I can go wattage wise without adding another outlet from a different breaker. 1800w sure would kick ass though

Hermies were caused by the power company shutting off the power everyday for 2 hours one week; had no idea until I noticed my lights were going on much later than I set it to....fuckers

Ok now that's fuckin cool...nice job
Thank you.
That is the divider from my oak wardrobe I grow in and some scrap mesh I had laying around.

My dad was raised with ten brothers and sisters in a one room dirt floor shack. It caused him to raise my brother and I a certain way. I don't throw stuff away, I mean trash I do. I try to reuse and re purpose.

I have been thinking about putting in some solar panels and batteries to run some cobs. I think and indoor veggie and pot garden driven by the sun would be cool.

Looked into that myself but I don't want to lease them or rent my roof. Still too prohibitively expensive to buy them right now though but I know my home is in a good location for them- full sun all day
I just bought a 200w cob led but it's total junk. eBay said it was 800w but that was bs. Turns out it's 4 x 50w cobs. Tried it in my veg tent but everything stretched out like it was under a standard light bulb. Wouldnt try to grow basil with that POS. You get wha you pay for

I run a t5 with several different bulbs including UV. It makes a difference.

Take a look at agromax pure UV bulbs. Even at three feet they provide plenty of UV. All you need is one bulb to supplement with.

Haha thanks, yeah it IS quite a journey :)
Do you have some pix of that setup?
I keep hedging around the question of how to exhaust each chamber adequately whilst not allowing light leaks between the two - thinking along the lines of putting the exhaust fan in a box and letting it pull the air out of both chambers through different-sized tubing (smaller diameter for the smaller veg chamber)?
