Okey dokey folks.
here is my very first grow journals...the first of many more :smile:
tomorrow will be 2 weeks from the day is germed the seeds.....
-what i gots-
-soil-
Miracle Grow organic mixed with 20% miracle grow perlite.
-lights-
4 27 watt CFLs. 5500k color temp.
1 15 watt natural sunshine flouro tube
tin foil on walls for reflection
-space-
about 25"x25" and only 21" tall.
-water-
usually every other day, thinking about goin every other other day.
-ventilation-
3 PC fans i DIY'd and have blowing on the plant(s) and 1 kind of bringin in new air.
-the plan-
make the bushiest shorterst plant that i can.:bigjoint:

i started the seeds germinating and they cracked open within 24 hours and all looked healthey......48 hours of germing i put them in jiffy pellets.
in the jiffy pellets my main plant sprouted very quick and was thriving.....ever since i put it in a small pot(prolly about 20 fl. oz.) it hasnt grown very much.......it seems like its starting to take off again, but when it was growing in the pellet it was growing rapidly....like i could look at it every 2 hours and see noticeable change.... i transplanted it when the roots started pokin' out the sides which was only a few days in the jiffy peat pellet thing....

i have slight problems......the stem is purple...... i would love to hear as much input and advice as possible on this grow so i can make it a great first experience.:leaf::peace:

Hey man whats up? Alright a couple things that could help ya.. Loose the foil...white is better than tin foil. U say your using 5500k lights? With cfl the best for veg is 6500k. Your soil sounds good and i wouldnt worry about the stems being purple just yet. almost all my seedlings started like that. As fR AS the slow growth it could be related to the lights/temp/humidity. One of these things might not have a great effect but all combined can hinder growth.

Wrong! You are perfectly fine w/5500K During veg. I use 2700K during veg and flower (ppl told me NO), and 5500K will work fer both as well!

Oh yeah im sure your fine with em. Personally im doing alot of 12/12 from seed with 2700k with no problems im just putting out what would be optimal for veg. im working on a mix of 2700k 3500k 4100k and 6500k for my grow.:blsmoke:

Wait another week b4 ya think the growth is too slow! Wat are the temps? Chances are yer overwatering, BTW! And how far away are those lights?

the lights are about 3 inches away id' say.bongsmilie im trying the water every other other day thing now. i think it could be heat stress, but i finally found this sweet watch i have that has temp and humidity on it.. i need to check on that matter uh fact.:leaf::peace:

how do you think they would do with:
2 42 watt 2700 lumen CFLs 2700k and
4 27 watt 1400 lumen CFLs 5500k
straight to 12/12...
can you grow bushy plants quickly with that you think?:peace:

Yeah alot depends on your strain but u could gro some decent plants like that. There are a few growers on here that do. The yeild isnt massive with 12/12 from seed but it can still be great! If u wanna grow a super nice plant i would suggest veging it for a little before you flower. Good luck man:bigjoint:

sweet....i think i might put my babies into an early flowering...not wuite sure, im gonna see how things go.....

i just found out that during the dark period the temps drop down to like 55 F.......oops....... and when the light as are on they can get up to 90F.....ut oh...........thats no good lol. i need to find a way to keep the temp consistent..... thats probably not helping anything.bongsmilie

i have a new set up that i will probably post pics of later tonight...its much better and i might be able to get a decent pic...

i just started germinating some strawberry kush beans.....i think its strawberry kush or maybe cough...the beans are from summer i believe...hope they work superbly....
i want to set up a small bubbleponic system, but i dont know if that possible....anyone know if you can have a less than 2 ft. bubble ponic system?...pretty much a short tub with some lowryders or somethin.

also......in a very small box would haveing many sprouts at once take away a considerable amount of Co2 from the plants that i am really trying to produce?...like if i want some experiments on the side, but have 1 or 2 main plants.
 
DAY:25 of the main plant....problems with the leavbes feeling very dry and shit is messed up basically... help??kiss-ass

anyone knows whats goin on with that doopy yellow bottom leafed brown tip kinda...dry thing......................is it just too hot?

Whatever you do dont listen to me until someone with more experience confirms it but u might have a ph problem and a nitrogen defficiency.. Have u been treating your water or giving it any nutes?:bigjoint: and if its etting up to 90 for more than an hour or two then thats a problem as well... When its hot outside you sweat alot and get tired......so does a plant
