maybe modrama thought it was a good idea to let dense, moist outdoor buds hang dry in a cool, damp environment.

hell, they'd have to hang for 9-10 days if i didn't add heat. they'd be brown by the time they dried, likely get some mold deep within the bud.

add the heat and you draw that all out over the first few days, then switch them to a slightly lower temp to hang dry like normal.

Strawman, I never told you to not use a heater, I told you a dehumidifier is preferable to a heater. Did you get stupid all of a sudden or is sammy rubbing off on you?

Actually I think its better to let plants hang in 65-70F temps at 30%-40% humidity, but I like bud that is dried correctly. Some people like to bake it brown and then try to say its really great weed dried correctly. Only amateurs use heaters to dry bud.

don't know if anyone told you, but it gets damp and cold up here in a hurry this time of year.

right now, it's 60 degrees with 83% humidity. should i go ahead and dry in those conditions, or should i perhaps add 10-20 degrees worth of heat and scrub out some of that humidity?

Get a dehumidifier and reduce the humidity of the room to 40% and leave the temp the same.

You know what a dehumidifier is right? Its not a dehydrator.

i'll probably have a few people over to trim during the peak of the plants' readiness. but for the most part it's just me.

through the process of supersaturation. Anyone who has lived in the deep south knows exactly what I am talking about. Plenty of days over 100% humidity, its based on temperature and barometric pressure, get them just right and you can have lots of humidity over 100%.
