can overwatering cause leaves to turn yellow/brown

even though its my second time around I know that it can also be a nitrogen deficiency and/or a ph inbalance. Never heard of overwatering to cause this type of problem. Hope this helps

If it is soil with time release nutes in it like MG it will burn the leaves from over watering.
