So I have 3 grows under my belt with my 400 watt mh/hps soil setup using the foxfarm trio and calmag. I have noticed a trend in my nugs where the lower portions of the plant seem to have much more fragrant/tasty flowers compared to the higher up buds, as well as in general being less dense. The being less dense part makes sense in terms of light, but why would these less dense nugs seem to be of higher quality? could it be due to damage from heat? i know kept the light too close with my initial grow, because pistils on the upper tips of the plant would shrivel up or be very small, so I now keep the light significantly further, but i want to get that same smell/taste of lower, less pretty nugs in my upper, dense, mondo nugs. cheers!
