"Deku" Project.

Got 35 seeds with the following genetics
Strain: Test name "Deku" (Jillybean x Fruit Auto)F1 and (Chernobyl x Fruit Auto)F1
Breeder: The Chemist Bros. (being referred to as TCB from now on)

I grew some of TCB Orangestunk which was [Jillybean x (Agent Orange x Shiva)] and even got a clone going right now of my favorite pheno . so what i am doing is taking the very best pheno's of females who do not autoflower (giving him the one's that do), and cloning them. this way i can keep the best genetics of this cross available for F3 breeding for TCB. Only grew 2 that showed autoflower(both males) out of 20 seeds I've germed so far. still 15 left, so thats more leftover for this journal. TCB has all of the males (saving pollen), so we plan on raising the autoflowering Ratio in the f2's and from there it will be stabilized and finished without my help.

My main area for flowering is 4x4 tent under 600w, the tent i am using for the 8 who did not show autoflowering or sex yet(youngest seedlings) have gone into my 2x4 flowering tent with 3 Blue Mystic clones and the Orangestunk clone.

it's extremely cramped and suffocating inside this 2x4x5 tent but after i kill some males(if i get any) within the next few days it should have more room and airflow.

this is the O-stunk clone, 24 days from when it was cut and re-vegged put into a 1/2 gallon pot along with a hidden(in the sog) Deku. same day footage.

Today i found a male, it was the strong blueberry Deku pheno, really strong couldn't cut it with my scissors easily, killed it immediately and cloned one branch for pollen and f2's of my own. these plants in the last 3-4 days took on a apple smell like apple skunk 2 females have this smell pheno.. one is leaning to lime skunk or orange skunk from the jillybean 4 total females and 2 seedlings still awaiting to be sex'd. i hope one is an auto (especially the mutant.) Found another male this morning, thought it was a female last night bud the balls were all the proof i needed. http://www.omgif.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/indian_midget_dance.gif

he was hiding in the back. its an autoflower dominant, small and didnt take topping/ fim like the rest so stunted it's growth. decided to keep him in my closet instead of killing him like the rest. im going to use him for breeding for my own f2's (not the same f2'a TCB is making) that makes 2 males and 4 females out of 8 seeds from the same batch. (2 still around a week old, including the tri-leaf)

Glad you doing this journal on it, but this strain is gonna take a year or more to stabilize and get to autoflower.

yea, and we can get a few more people to try this out once they see how easy breeding is

Update- footage from 12/15/11

plants got a little heat stress but mostly just growing nicely. stretch seems to be over, blue mystics clones are also budding up quite nicely. i seem to have something taking bites out of my plants leaves and i cant seem find out what it is, most likely a stray Ant or something. cleaned the tent today. [video=youtube;bV0J22efyfc]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV0J22efyfc[/video] the variation is rediculous on this hybrid but i love it, 2 males i found had a smell like kosher pickles, i got one female that smells like apples and skunk, the one beast you see at around 1:00 mark is a definite Orange velvet skunky pheno. The Triforce is looking like the sweet berry male i had and if this things goes male on me I'm gonna nickname it Link and pollinate the rest of these girls (2-3 i have in the tent) and not the blue mystics. so the Triforce is unknown sex, as is the other seedling Deku and a (Jillybean x Pandora's Box) that is going to show sex by the 20th, i think both will.

also as it turns out, at around 00:42 you can see a seedling i marked as deku but it is actually a (Jillybean x Pandora's Box)

Those girls are packed like sardines. i hope you can get enough airflow in that small tent.

1:00 Please clone her, she looks special and worthy of seeding. Orange skunk smell? it may just be her BO but the cured product is what matters most, that is the kind of plant i want, i gotten too many Fruit Auto dominant female auto's and not enough Jillybean/chernobyl/vortex/ like 2 of each. compared to you. Love the little Triforce with 3 stems per node.
i wish i had enough time to have a bunch of journals.

sour orange funk is the best way to describe the smell, its like orange tea, skunk and fruity

Jillybean x Pandora's box turned out to be a male. nothing special.

The Triforce turned out to be a female , that makes 3 females 4 males and 1 unsex'd from this batch of deku. I Cloned the best female Deku (smelliest and most vigorous) as well as the other "not so standout" female, the triforce has been cloned as well.

i believe Triforce to be an autoflower since she is two weeks old and showing sex (takes longer for MOST to show sex under 12/12 from seed), also there was another seed that popped the same day as triforce that is growing and unsex'd and i believe that to be a female (making it 4/4 even male female ratio on these seeds).



my Orangestunk clone is like a trichome factory, i think i'll get an ounce from it in the 3g pot. if i get more, even better , much more trichs than the rest of the plants in the tent at nearly 3 weeks of age. i'll update with photo's and Video at 21 days of flower (thursday)

good thing you got so many males, now you might have some room in that tent.

I was wondering what happened to the other thread, subbed to this. I like the game avatars, I think ima pop in my chrono trigger now.

Update- Triforce tricked me, it look as though it had hairs but checking back yesterday i saw they were more of balls and its a male, which is fine for me as it showed it's sex after its neighbor (both nearly 20 days old) who is a female flashing her hairs. going to use this male to pollinate the other smaller female who just started flowering. get some f2's with her, the sativa and indica blue mystic as well as my favorite pheno of deku.

Hell yea, lookin ballin. Sell me those F2's Triforce in my garden? its like a gamers dream.

if i get enough seeds from this female(looking for 200-300), ill give them away for free, i can't guarantee it will be dank though lol, i haven't even smoked the f1's yet and im curious to see how his mutation will effect the offspring.

FUCK..... my favorite plant turned out to be a hermie.. plucked off the balls and cleaned the tent, foliar waterings. im going to wait 2-3 days and see if any more balls show up. if they do, show balls then i will kill the plant. im so sad... 1/3 these females went hermie..... thats not a good sign. Yo TCB have you had any issues like this?

Why does it happen to show much unstability? Is it because it was crossed with and auto?

this is the second set, i ran 2 of these from seed at day 1 of 12/12 and 5 who did not autoflower, first herm out of 12 seeds. shame, i hope it was because of heat stress and nothing else, been running 85 degrees in the tent under 100% 600w and neglected to water since thursday night. soil seems to dry of really fast on one pheno.
