Deficiency? Root Bound? Nute Burn? Help!

Info: First Grow
Indoor Grow (4x4 grow tent)
3 Gal Aero Pot
600 Watt HPS
Water Schedule = 1L of Ph balanced water every other day
Nute Feed every other watering
Week 3 of Flowering
Soil = FFOF
Nutes = FF Trio

So here is the story. Planted in FFOF soil, no nutes were added until 12/12 flowering cycle. After about 2 weeks of flowering cycle I realized I wasn't shaking the nute containers, therefor I don't think they were getting any nutes. Started shaking the bottles and adding 1/2 the dose on each bottle. So usually 1.5 Tsp of each nute.

Started noticing these yellowing leaves 5 days ago. On my main big plant, the leaves started yellowing in the middle and then started turning brown and dying few days after (examine pics). All other plants started yellowing at the bottom and slowly started to work its way up.

I purchased some sledgehammer and flushed 2 of my plants tonight (2 gals for one 3 gal pot). I did not want to flush them all before hearing advice from more experienced growers. Do you think this is a nute deficiency? The guy at my local grow show said it could be my small pots. I didn't know my plants would get anywhere near this big so I only got 3 gal pots to begin with.

Hey bud , sorry to here that the lady's are not doing well, now I won't say I know mush but from what it sounds and looks like you are buring the plants w/ all does nuts , I suggest a quick flush and start your 12/12 nuts but in a low dosage , keep an eye on your plants they might sag so keep a good eye and plenty of light , that's what I would do.

I cross referenced my leaves with those of a nute burned plant and they don't really look the same. Thanks for the advice, I will keep it in mind. I would like to hear a few other peoples inputs before I do anything else.

Just got done watering them for tonight with nutes. Hopefully I will have an answer by the end of tomorrow so I can either flush them or do whatever.

Also does anyone have a better way of Ph Balancing? It is very tedious to get it just right, im already out of the tester fluid (the stuff you drop in to see what the level is) within 2 months of buying it. I use two 1 gallon jugs and Ph that water each time before watering.

Get a ph meter, you can find them on ebay for low a price.

No you dont need any other input its a ph issue. You have been watering with water that you think is 7.0 and feeding with ph ? . The ph is now out and it looks like K def. Make sure all feeds/waterings are 6.5 .

Honestly, looks like underfeeding. Showing yellowing and some crisping in flower usually is N and PK deficient.

Hey man. U can take all the advice u want. I would get rid of any leaves over50% damged. Then increase ur Nitro input. I have had many disease's with plants and have posted pics given all detail, then all advice I got was wrong. Most of the time u just have to soldier on and chalk it up as a learning experience. I have always figured out what I have done wrong and correct it in the future. Good luck homie

so true and very good advise. im having the similar issues but have yet to post or even ask, too many variables to pinpoint the exact issue.
for the op, my advise to you would be to up pot them and add a little medium (whatever you use) to the bottom each pot. for me it was more of the plants became root bound, than water logged which caused the issues that are displaying in your pics. luckily i didn't start all that's currently in the tent at the same time and was able to catch the other half that was started a week later than the first set.
just because you're having problems that looks like overfert or deficient plants doesn't always means that the case. simply over watering can be as damaging as the other two factors previously stated.

I personaly dont grow the way u do. I have a 600, but I put 1 plant under it at a time. I usualy get 6oz or more. I use 5-7gallon pots and my next grow I am using a 10g pot. I am constantly fighting some issue. So half the time my plant has been stunted. I have only been growing 9 months. I have a 600hps/halide same on my 400. I grow 1 plant in each room under each light. Some PIcs of my Flowers

This is Mr. Clean or Jack's Cleaner, a Sativa. Leaves started yellowing week 1 of flower

The I bought a couple of mother's. A skunk and a permafrost. They got PM.

Then this was my Strawberry cough. My best plant. I got 8oz from this whorer and I love her. But the strain is a weak strain, not very potent.

Then this is an Afghan, She was infested with spider mites. Here's how ignorant I was. I saw some webs and thought it was a spider that would protect my little baby. Boy was I wrong. I have a W2'6"(2)x6'H Tent that doesnt get this problem. Well I am still fighting the spider mites because I have a firewood pile in my house. Well it cant be moved until I have al my operations done. Just had 2 nerve damaged Ops on left wrist and elbow, now I have to have surgery on the ulna bone on my left arm. All of this from being a framer all my life. I cant hardly walk.

So I better figure out how to grow. The point of the matter is, all grows arent perfect. You have to adjust and learn from the different scenarios that are thrown around. I dont think your crop is destroyed and it wouldnt hurt them to repot them. If they are root bound it will slide right on out. This is why I use round pots to Veg and a week before flower I transplant into a 7 gallon square pot. So I can get dirt along the sides not just the bottom. My pots are like 18" tall. Good homes

Wow thanks for the replies guys. All great advice and helped me figure out what I did wrong.

I pulled the plant from its small dinky pot, it was root bound pretty bad...alright very bad. Should have snapped some pics for documentation oh well.

So for #1 it was root bound. (Solved by transplanting into a 5 gallon pot.) Which in turn probably caused some nutrient lockout, coupled with my Ph levels reading terribly (I know for a fact that was a contributing factor).

So for anyone who stumbles upon this thread.
1. Create a feeding schedule and stick to it
2. Get the right equipment for reading Ph the first time
3. Don't under estimate how big and fast these plants can grow.
