I'd personally go for black widow as well, it's the white widow.

which strain won the cannabis cup, they both are said to have won the same cup. Im confused???

Black widow was the original white widow bred by Shantibaba. Shanti's business partner Arjan tried to get greedy and such, so Shanti took his genetics and split. It is now sold as MNS Black Widow. All of the white widow you see available is just knockoff replicas, but not the real deal. That is not to say they are not good smokes, just that they're not really sa they pretend to be. I would go for the Blackl Widow purely because it's an authentic thing with a good breeder behind it.

Just remember, cannabis cups are not always won on the quality, they are often just "bought".

I've no experience with either, no doubt they're both great, my first grow i grew out a Seedsman White Widow i think it was and while a knockoff, it was still a nice smoke.

Thanks for the input, I'm glad you could help clear that up. Yeah I def know the cups are bought. I've been to amsterdam, The shops that provide free samples usually win, since you still have to buy some of the strains to sample them. So go figure if everyone gets to try yours (because its free) then you will undoubtedly win compared to the companies that cant/refuse to give away free samples. I just wanted to create some authentic smoke from when I was out there. Im on a mission to get some of the classic winners from prob 2004 and earlier. Looking at mr nice black widow, barneys sweet tooth, soma nycd, soma amnesia haze,sensi jack herer, paradise sensi star, dutch passion blueberry and maybe serious kali mist

Sounds like a good lineup. I've only run the sweettooth from that list, but god damn was it a good un. The high crept up on you and then hit pretty strong, and i'm trying to get my memory straight but i think i recall it having an almost pot pourri smell to the smoke. I have mns black widow but haven't popped any yet.

But de sjaamen seems to base most of there strains off ww and I'm sure there good.

Hazeman also has some awesome pre 98 aloha white widdow crosses.

Id still go with mns tho. And the thing about the cups is very true too.
