[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]yo so here is my new grow journal (this is my third grow now) and it is appropriately posted in the dwc section.

This grow I intend on growing upwards of a half pound (224 grams) in a 5 sq ft area. The tent I have is about 1.6ft. x 2.9ft.

here is a partial list of my equipment for the grow

mylar lined reflective tent
250w sun system 2 mh
two 4" valueline fans
two fan controllers
one 4" charcoal air scrubber
eco plus air pumps
2' air diffusers
5 gallon dwc buckets
8" netcup lids
hydroton
rapid rooters
hanna pH/EC/TDS combo meter

in the tent there are three 5 gallon DWC setups currently housing 3 seedlings.
one pineapple express
one dutch passion blueberry
one bagseed (to be replaced with a pineapple express clone or trainwreck seedling)

total wattage consumption is around 500. 50w/sq ft of light. seedlings were put under metal halide as soon as they were 1 wk old.

I'll upload pics and more information especially about the bagseed replacement when it occurs... at least the seed was viable but I don't think I want to risk it herming.

about a wk before any progress/pics can be uploaded as I'm still waiting for some parts to arrive.

edit: preview of the incomplete setup

Good luck man. Keep us posted and put up pics when you can. I'll be following along. I just started my first grow in hydro and I'm about 2 weeks in. Click the link and swing by if you have time.

first off no, its not a bridge I'll likely need. thats the important part here: I could not care less.

a great thing about buckets with the nice lids is the ease of access look how easy it is to simply stick a 60cc syringe in and pull out a good sample for testing or in this case, some seedlings.

the little girl there is the blueberry shes a little yellow I'm not too sure why at first I thought it wasn't enough nutes then I added more and realized 1200 (.5) is insane for her at this size...
what should it be at? (what conversion?) my meter does millisiemens or hanna conversions so it is 400 (.7) right now but I think something like 800 is gonna be necessary in the next few days.

I'm going to tweak it to be ~ 800ppm @ .7

well I popped off boards and found the perfect dimensions in the attic space so this is not a super stealth grow in the attic. come winter time I'm hoping the temps will be pretty stable I should know soon though if it will get too cold. it is very well insulated in there I took some off of the cieling in order to keep it from getting too hot its stable at about 82F at the seedlings and I haven't installed my new fans (4 days til they arrive).

I don't need to use AC anymore its pretty nice the reflector cooling makes a heat pocket up above the tent and it just leaves through the attic roof.

with fan controllers on both fans this is how the air flow will be controlled. HEPA filter on the intake fan and carbon filter on the exhaust.

my babies is getting nute burned :( I went gung ho up to 1050ppm (.7) which is like almost 1.2 EC... guess I better keep it more aroun 0.9 EC until they are bigger next time.

cuz its super pimpin

also I'm trying to find a webcam to mount remotely so I can look without having to open the tent. ideally if I get the cam they will be fine for 3-5 days at at time with one plant in a 5 gallon bucket.
