Daylight Savings Time

:hump: A lot of growers are going to be a little confused today on what to do with their timers . I change my timer in the morning so that I lose one hour in my light schedule , not the dark period . The girls need their sleep .

I choose to change mine . Between 4 grandkids visiting , a wife , and running my house ..... I need to keep things on a schedule . I am a very busy man and I take care of things at certain times . Kind of an old man set in my ways.

I anticipated the time changes and worked for lights on during coolest hours. So in summer jumping to 9pm for lights on helps imo. Their schedule means nothing to me. Ill get working with green led headlamp. Lol

Blowers putting out huge volumes of steam might be a problem if drivers in the early mornig will see it and could possibly believe that the building is on fire:)

Doh! I will be waking up to check things at 4:30 am now.
The best part if waking up, is folgers in ur cup, and walking into a bright as fuck room at 4 am. Lol
Ok, time for me to quit sleeping in, gotta start the folgers and git goin.

My timer has a setting for Daylight savings time and each particular time zone.
It makes the correction automatically.
The girls will lose an hour sleep today, like all of us.
It hasn't affected them the past couple years. (no hermie stress)

Well, someone mentioned being creatures of habit, or something close to it. If i do mess with the timers/ time change like this one: I've always stuck to the practice making sure they get
The minimum 12 hours dark before lights on again. It's just been a habit of mine.

Funny.....I was just sitting here thinking (dreading) changing all my timers....the one that runs my intake fan is a bitch to get to. I may just live with them starting up an hour later than normal....hell, it's only six months till they revert back.

Actually it's more like 8 months of daylight savings and 4 months of reality
Dr. Jekyll

if we were to hold a referendum on Daylight savings, chances are most states/provinces would vote to abolish it as it's a royal pain in the ass

Each state decides if they want to participate in dst. Arizona doesn't with exception of indian reservation.

Correct, but it was introduce over 30 years ago when it sounded like a cool idea.
Some states/provinces opted out but most jumped on the band wagon
Dr. Jekyll

now that we know what is all about, many of us would vote to dump DST and the issues out weigh the benefits

Oh SHIT! I went the wrong way on the time shift with my plants this morning. I've been up since like 4 (I think), and I had to google "what time is it", so I could set my watch again.

Right, I know. I woke up several times with back pain last night finally giving up on sleep at around what I think was 4am. At 6, thinking it was 7, I switched my plants from the light room to the dark room, apparently 2 hours apart from their normal day.

I dropped an hour off the light side too. I was 8-8, 9-9 isn't convenient for me. The plants don't care.
